A bit late, but here are our September highlights!

🐾We have been a little quiet on social media lately (work and family life being busy) but we have still been training hard!
🟣Dave has been working on counter-conditioning around dogs in busy environments.
🟢Look how calm and focussed he remains with all the dogs walking past!
🔴In the past, Dave struggled with his anxiety and would let out a staffy scream whenever he saw a dog even at a distance #ifyouknowyouknow
🐾Hudson enjoying his Training Adventure!
🟢Hudson is learning to socialise with other dogs more appropriately and building his confidence 💪
🐾Riley joined us for a Training Adventure recently to continue working on her anxiety and lead skills.
🔴Riley showed a lot of progress since our last session because her human has been working so hard with her, putting in lots of time and effort!
🐾Zero has a great foundation of obedience thanks to his human!
🟢We have been proofing these skills with off lead heel work and distracted stays.
🔵His brother Miles is tethered as a distraction and to work on his calm behaviour while Zero is getting attention.
🐾Nala has a human sibling arriving in just a couple of months so we have began training her to walk with a pram!
🟣It is important to train this BEFORE baby arrives 👶🏻
🔴Also, watch how well Nala does with the dog who walks past! 👏
🐾Name recognition is such an important skill for our dogs!
🔴It is important for our dogs to respond to their name in order to have a reliable recall and for us to get their attention.
🟢Brigitte, Rua and Ollie are showing off how they can differentiate between their names during Brigitte's Training Adventure today!
🐾Last week we had Nova for an Training Adventure!
🔴Nova can be super friendly but her behaviour will escalate when overstimulated
🟢We focussed on building her confidence and working on her social skills
**Nova is kept on lead as she is a serial fence jumper
**Kovu wears a muzzle so he can safely socialise
🐾Having a solid foundation of loose lead walking is one of the most important skills our dogs should know
🔴Having our dogs on a loose lead encourages a calmer frame of mind
🟣Nala gets nervous of other dogs and can become reactive
🟢In this video we walked past 2 dogs, you can see that she does show some signs of nervousness (ears pinned back, lip smacking, scanning) but kept a good composure with no outbursts as she was kept calm on a loose lead
🟠It is also important to give our dogs breaks, sniffing is a great way for them to regulate so during our walk Nala was allowed to have plenty of sniff breaks during our walk
🐾Have a safe long weekend!
🔴Share what your doggos are up to this weekend ⬇️⬇️⬇️
🐾Happy Saturday! Here is Riley from earlier in the week during her Walk & Train.
🟣Riley gets very excited on walks and will pull on the lead. She loves people so will try to jump on them as they walk past.
🟠During our session we visited a busy park nearby the beach.
🔵Here she is practising her foundations, loose lead walk, sit, drop and look around distractions. In the background there is a baby playgroup, children on the playground and a dog under a table.
🐾Miles has been working on his confidence during his weekly Training Adventures.
🔴This week we visited Bunnings and braved Brighton Beach.
🔵Miles gets overwhelmed in busy environments but has been handling his adventures like a champ!
✏ Homework Submission✏
🟠Lilly's owners have been working hard at their homework to boost her confidence!
🟢Lilly has poor back leg awareness but all their hard work paid of when Lilly came out with this exciting display 😂
🔵Keep up the great work!
🔴Last one! We have loves watching all the dogs playing along at home and learning some new tricks, you have until the 26th to catch up and finish posting all your tricks if you would like to enter the competition!🥰

This year we have teamed up with Wildflower Dog Treats to bring you 24 days of delicious treats and fun activities to do with your dogs!
DAY TWENTY-FOUR: FIND IT
Tell your dog to sit and wait, or have someone else hold your dog back.
Place a treat away from your dog and say “find it”, allow your dog to sniff up to the treat and eat it.
Once they get the idea of the game, you can hide the treat in places where they cant see, so they have to use their nose.
❗Competition❗
Upload a video or photo of you and your dog completing the activity from your advent calender, tag both us and Wildflower Dog Treats to go in to draw to win a $25 (12 day competition) or $50 (24 day competition) to spend at Wildflower Dog Treats 🎉
