Rebel back to it yesterday yielding away with a short light work out since being lame.

A month since Rebel's 1st go at it, we had another go at it and I struggled more to remember the exercise than Rebel 🐴🤎 The exercise being, Changing Eyes stage 2.

The Changing eyes stage 2 exercise was a new one for us both to wrap our heads around.

There was movement at the station, for the whip was cracked around. That the gelding from ol Avoca, had tried to get away..... 😂
Rebel's little freak out yesterday. He corrected himself promptly stood still, faced me and showed a sign of relaxing by licking his lips. 👍🐴🤎

My last post I predicted a few heart attacks. So today I tried but Rebel proved me wrong.
He stood there from start to finish and didn't move a foot whilst being desensitised to the stock whip for the first time. Here's a clip of the last attempt.

Trying to draw Rebel back to me without having to move my feet after I lost him not once but twice. He chose wisely 🐴🤎

Our 2nd ride flowed onto the arena with more room to move. Cruised, flexed the head n neck, one rein stops and ended with a go at yielding the hindquarters 🐴🤎

It's been a month between rides but we had our 2nd ride today 🐎
Started off in the roundyard for a few laps each way then we went out the arena and did lots of flexing and cruised around, mainly at the trot, (as was bit greasy after the rain) while working on one rein stops. Rebel behaved nicely. Just got to work through the ridden fundamentals now. He has alot to learn 🤠🐴🤎

Rebels first time out the gate 🐴 We broke the boredom and headed out on an outdoor excursion for some familiarisation of the river and town and making use of nature with some obstacle training.
