Hey y’all! So with it being cold outside, here are a few tips to keep your dogs hair long and free of matting!
1) Dogs with curly and straight coats brush with a slicker brush and follow up with a comb to get any of the tangle and knots the slicker brush missed
2) Dogs with a double coat (labs, German shepherds, Australian shepherds, golden retrievers, malamutes, Great Pyrenees..etc) use a slicker brush, a comb, undercoat rakes, and you can also use Matt breakers (be careful with the rakes and breakers, they have blades and they could cut the dogs hair)
3) Make sure you find the right slicker brush for your dog, they have different bristles
4) Brush important areas that become matted quickly
5) Always brush the dogs when dry. Their skin is very sensitive when wet and you could scratch them
