A picture from today's Artsakh -- a lonely cat waits behind a closed supermarket door as no more food remains for sale

The Lachin corridor, the only road connecting Artsakh to it's only source for food, Armenia, remains closed by azerbaijan. For nearly a month now, azeri government officials posing as "eco-activists" have blocked entry of any cars or people to Artsakh, literally starving 120,000 people and countless animals to death.

UPDATE: She has flown to NY and is with her furever mom.

Someone special in NY fell in love with this beautiful pup that was abandoned on the streets for having a skin allergy. She is all healed now, waiting until she's old enough to get on a flight to her forever mom. Know anyone flying from Yerevan to NY end of February or possibly March? Please share and help us find a volunteer flyer.

Volunteer flyers don't do much but volunteer their name. The dog will be taken to Zvartnots and picked up here in JFK, all paid for. It requires little work and saves a life. Contact us to learn more

We at Paws for Peace believe in helping solve the problem of stray dogs in Armenia. There are no shelters in Armenia and the population of stray dogs on the streets keeps growing, helpless and in danger. We are fundraising to pay for the vaccinations and the spay and neuter of these strays. Their population must be controlled so we can minimize the heartbreaking situation on the ground.

We found a treasure on the streets of Yerevan. About 10 months old and 25 lbs. Sassy Roxy would thrive in a home where she can learn about controlling her sass and good manners while on walks. She is a fluffy love bug and will sweeten anyone's life she becomes a part of.

See what this man does when he encounters stray pups in Armenia during the war. Keep an eye out for a caring and grateful mama.

Simon Wilson thank you for your kindness. Compassion knows no boundaries.

Dear Paws for Peace village and friends, we were alerted of a mama dog and her litter of babies that were recently found in a desolate area in Armenia. Mama was most likely dumped there, but fortunately, she was found by someone who couldn't just look the other way and took her and the puppies in. Mama is extremely skinny because there was no food around to feed herself as she was nursing her babies. All her puppies except for one, a 3-month old girl, have been adopted. Can we please work together to find mama and her daughter homes of their own? Mama is approximately 1 1/2 years old and very shy. She needs someone who will love her unconditionally and offer her a life that she doesn't even know is possible. If you can't offer mama or her baby a home, please SHARE. All it takes is this post to reach just ONE person that instantly knows they are meant to be together. Thank you.🐾🐾

WE NEED OUR VILLAGE TO COME TOGETHER AGAIN: This 1-month-old boy was found, along with this three sisters, in the snowy and freezing streets of Armenia. No puppy can survive on their own, no less in this kind of inclement weather. Thankfully, a kind samaritan has taken them in, but we don't know how long they will be able to stay where they are. Pictures of his sisters will be posted soon, but for now, let's work together to find someone who is looking for unconditional love to step up for this sad looking pup. Could that possibly be YOU? Or your Friend? Parents? Our dream would be for this little guy to celebrate next Christmas in a cozy warm home, with a family who will love & protect him furever. Also, any suggestions for names? We at believe that every being deserves an identity. Please help us name him🐾🐾
