Look at this little cutie! Kiara was in recently when her owners noticed a swelling on the side of her face. Kiara was admitted for surgery with Dr Michael to explore the swelling under general anaesthetic.
The surgery was successful and we found a grass seed! She made a full recovery and was back to her happy self the next day. 💗🐾

😇 Pet of the Week 🎉 Meet Polly
This darling girl was in recently to have Cruciate Ligament repair with our internal Orthopaedic Specialist, Dr Chris.
Unfortunately, Polly was chasing after a ball when she jumped and landed badly, resulting in her lameness. After a exam and some X-Rays it was determined that Polly has indeed ruptured her cruciate ligament 🙁
She was put on strong pain medication and rest till she was able to come in for surgery.
Dr Chris preformed a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy)
TPLO is a procedure that involves cutting of the tibia and rotating the joint surface such that there are no sliding forces, and the joint is biomechanically stable while the leg is weight bearing when walking or running.
Aftercare for these surgeries is strict and important for the surgery to heal and be able to gain full movement back in the leg.
We wish Polly all the best in her recover and know she will be extra spoilt by her pet parents while healing 🥰🥰🥰

Kyrah is enjoying her Penguin 🐧 Enrichment toy. This one was filled with dry kibble soaked to become mushy, small amount of apple pure, boiled chicken chopped and topped with rockmelon and honeydew and a few blackberries 🫐
This treat was frozen till it was still soft in the middle but holding today.
Enjoyed in the cool shade 🌳
Make note, when you give your dog a special treat during the day, remember to cut down on their dinner 🍽 to ensure they aren't over consuming 😊

Our pets can suffer in high temperatures and humid conditions.
Dogs in particular won’t stop enjoying themselves and exercising because it is hot, so it’s up to owners to do all they can to prevent overheating happening. ☀️

This big boy is 'Zephyr' all 71kg of him 🥰
He is a 9 year old Nebolish Mastiff X
A recent visit, due to 'Zephyr' was not feeling well, resulting in a Splenectomy
A Splenectomy is where the patient has the spleen removed due to bleeding, tumours, ruptures etc.
'Zephyr' recovered well and is back with his family enjoying the good things in life 🐾

This Blue Eyed Boy is Sunny
My gosh, aren't his eyes breath taking??!! 😍😍😮😮
Hunky, Spunky Sunny was in for a Dental Scale and Polish to help his teeth be as beautiful as his eyes 👀
1 little tooth needed to be removed but all else came up perfectly.
