Spent a morning at Bolsover castle. A 900-year-old castle looking over Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and yes that's the Peaks you can see in the distance.
This place has been voted the UK's spookiest castle, with it's own grey lady, a ghostly little boy trying to hold visitor's hands, a howling dog, and even a ghostly maid throwing a ghostly baby into a long cold fireplace.

We didn't see any ghosts, but there is always next time.

It's my birthday and I may have snuck a chicken upstairs whilst Mum was asleep. It wasn't my fault the chicken then went under the bed and then laid an egg. Chickens are not quiet when they lay eggs. Mum was not asleep for much longer. For some reason she put the chicken back outside.

Anyone else want to snooze into the weekend? Seemly I need to get up so Mum can carry on decorating. I think I need breakfast in bed and a day off from all this work.
