Tamuks are amazing 😍🤩
I made this video for a lady picking up bunnies Sunday, but wanted to show you guys how amazing Tamuks are with heat.
I have fans near my NZ rabbits, but these Tamuks are not close enough to the fan and are not fazed at all with this 110 heat index.
Farm noises
My favorite thing about being outside working

Fresh litter
Exciting getting the chance to show you guys a fresh litter.
*She either had one more on the wire or knocked one out of the box while I was out there giving food and water. Going to recount in a bit*
It was a new baby, she had 8
Delta is pulling fur! About to have her first litter!
One of my newest additions to the herd is about to have her first litter. Woke up and was about to go out and feed them, but noticed this through the window and had to stop and record her.
Rabbits pull fur to put in their nest box since their babies are born without fur. If they didn't do this, their babies wouldn't survive.
Fun fact...if you have a first time mom that is having trouble or forgot to pull fur, you can pull for them. They are designed to do this and it doesn't hurt them. We have had to do it, the moms don't flinch or even budge. The next time around the momma knew what to do and pulled for her self. Looks like Delta has it figured out and won't need any help preparing for her babies. They should be here today or tonight.
Unicorn did it again!
Every time she has a litter I'm reminded of how thankful I am that I took the time to carry her in my shirt as a newborn and save her.
11 babies again, all are full bellied and healthy. Such a good momma.
For those that don't know, rabbits have 8 teats. For some rabbits with a litter this size that means a few will not get to eat and won't make it. Unicorn takes the time to make sure all her babies get food before leaving the nestbox. So proud of my baby.
Unicorn busy making her nest within minutes of going into the nursery hutch.
NZ White doe from my very first litter. Getting ready to have another batch of babies. Last litter was 11!
She is so cute when we breed her. She is the only doe I have that will do flirty hops over the male before turning around to let him breed. She loves being a momma and even keeps all her babies in her large litters alive and healthy.
This time she was bred to my pedigree NZ Pete, so these babies will be partial pedigree.
Chilling with Amos
Had to take a break from making hutch improvements to hang out with my big baby Amos for a bit.
