Gucci is a 7yo 14.3hh gaited GRADE TWH cross mare looking for her next trail blazing buddy! Gucci is incredibly sweet, very in your pocket and not marish at all. Barefoot and sound and an easy keeper- everyone's dream horse! Gucci rides in a snaffle or a hackamore, loves the trail and will lead or follow. She is GREEN in the arena, but tries her little heart out. That being said she is being sold as a trail horse- the trail is where she thrives! Gucci is sane and safe but sensitive, so a capable rider with some horse sense or guidance would suit her best.

We're all so excited by the arrival of these four gorgeous weanlings from Crookedpost Ranch in Kansas. They all arrived safe and sound- and very tired from their long road trip! We ended up with all the pretty colors this year- two strikingly marked APHA c**ts, a bay roan c**t and the long awaited dun filly!

Some of you who have been with us for a while know that our beloved unicorn Kodi came from Crookedpost Ranch. This little filly is a full sister of his! Im so incredibly excited to partner with so many wonderful people who made this possible! .anayalani.farms.2024

We're all so excited by the arrival of these four gorgeous weanlings from Crookedpost Ranch, Kansas They all arrived safe and sound- and very tired from their long road trip! Offered for ONSITE half/full lease.

'Drogon' is a 15.2hh 7yo registered Friesian Sporthorse gelding. He is a barn favorite here with the biggest personality and best work ethic you'll find. Drogon has a dressage foundation, currently schooling 2nd level, is started over fences and is currently dabbling in some ranch. He is light to the leg, soft in the bridle and has a LOT of power for a little horse- meaning he is not suitable for an inexperienced rider! That being said he is honest and good minded, no buck, bolt, rear, or dirty shenanigans. He is just a young, powerful and playful guy! If you're looking to really step up into the show ring and get noticed this is the horse for you. While leased, he will stay in a training program with me to keep him schooled and help him and his rider click.

Flashy, smart & athletic- what more could you ask for!

RJ is a 4yo 15hh AQHA/APHA gelding with a diverse background in ranch & reining, low level dressage, trail courses and english pleasure. He has been shown several times now and is an easy, no prep get on and go kind of guy! Rj is more woah than go, easy on the eyes and is a beautiful slow and smooth mover. He leads, loads, cross ties and hard ties, clips, bathes, is good for the farrier and easy to handle on the ground.

'Spirit' is a 6 year old 15.2hh grade Quarter horse gelding looking for his person! If you're looking for looks, personality, and brains all in one package then this is the horse for you! Spirit is GREEN, currently walk/trot under saddle and needs work picking up the canter. He is best suited for a rider capable of bringing along a green horse, or one working with a trainer. Spirit is honest, extremely willing and easy to work with but he does require a confident rider/handler who can help further his education. That being said, he is not the type to buck, bolt, rear, kick etc and is very respectful to handle. Leads, loads, cross ties and hard ties, good for the farrier. He would make a fantastic ranch prospect! Owner is very motivated to sell and a good home is our top priority.

Kodi has a background in ranch, reining and a bit of western pleasure, he also has experience in AQHA Hunter under saddle and english pleasure, will jump around a xrails to 1'6, and enjoys some low level dressage. He is a truly talented horse that has something to offer every rider. Kodi is more woah than go, sane and safe enough for a novice but still fun enough to keep a capable rider entertained. Kodi is available for onsite half lease.

We are casually looking for some working students to join the team! This is a great opportunity to get lessons, ride time and potentially a lease or reduced training board, or exchange for boarding for the right candidate!

Ideally we are looking for motivated, self starting horse folk with experience handling horses on the ground.

We do more than just basic training, teaching and sales here at Desert Rose! RJ, our 2yo stud colt, bowing and laying down his first time with a rider! He was taught with gentle pressure and release and positive reinforcement, never any ropes and never forced! We want our horses to choose to engage with us as a willing and trusting partner. A wise man once said, a horse educated by fear will always find something it fears more than you. A horse educated by trust will look to you when he is afraid.
