Those of you who have volunteered with us for transports have likely met Linda at some point.
She was a warrior for animal welfare.
She was a tireless voice for compassion.
She was someone who would drop everything to help an animal in need.
She was a friend.
And she will be missed dearly.

Safe travels Linda, until we meet again 💔

For those of you that haven’t heard yet, we lost our driver Linda yesterday. Linda was an avid volunteer, all around animal lover, and devoted her life to rescue. Her loss left a big hole in our hearts. Linda, you will be missed. ❤️ 😇 🕯

Jethro is a Saint who nearly came to CSBR.
His rescuer felt that they were the best home for Jethro. And they were right! Jethro is thriving with his family. CSBR has recieved a few great dogs from Jethro's mom. Dogs that would most likely not have had a future with out her and the volunteers that work with her.
The prize money from this contest would go a long way to rescuing more dogs.

Monday musings with Morti!
I’ve heard all kinds of stories over the last few days of dogs frolicking in the snow and cold, and all I can say is …. are you all ok? Like you know there’s warm beds and down comforters in the world, right?

But seriously, they tell me today is a special day. Martin Luther King Jr Day, so I thought I’d share a quote of his here.
“Be a bush if you can’t be a tree. If you can’t be a highway, just be a trail. If you can’t be a sun, be a star. For it isn’t by size that you win or fail. Be the best of whatever you are.”

So I will stay here curled up in the warmth, and if running around in eyeball freezing cold is your jam, you do you. Just be the best you that you can be.
And don’t forget to be kind to each other. Unless you’re a squirrel, then go jump in a lake. 😂😂😂

It’s friiiiiiday!!
Today let’s talk about Benjamin Buttons!
This 5 year old mix is looking for his second chance with a family! Originally adopted from CSBR as a puppy he came back to us when his family had to go into assisted living.
He is being fostered with other dogs, but has a personal space bubble ( I feel him there 😂😂) with other dogs, but loves human snuggles.

Happy humpday everyone. These pups have been waiting to get there chance to find a rescue. And January 26th will be there chance. Believed to be Saint mixed, but we never can be quite certain of what mix until they are in our hands. We do know that they would not have survived in the cold without help.
Fosters and adopters are needed. If you have already submitted an application, and are still waiting a reply. Please poke me/Brian through the CSBR messenger. I have just had extra things going on, and finishing 2024 has just sucked for many of us. But the wheels keep turning.
As always,dog free fosters can be our most valuable tool to get dogs placed. And are also the most difficult resources to obtain.
These pups will make excellent buddy dogs. But we do have some mature dogs still looking to be only dogs. We have some incredibly loving dogs who have been waiting for way too long. Some great bonded pairs and single Saint's We need comunity help to find single dog adopters.
2 more Saint rescues have announced that they will be closing this year. And to be honest,we totally understand. The last couple of years have been like ice skating up hill. Rescue is all about resources and support. Saint rescues have seen more dogs coming in, than going out.
CSBR will be asked to take on more this year. And we will do our best with your help and support.

Monday musings with Morti!!

The weather has been up and down, but I wanted to share one of my favorite pastimes that doesn’t involve squirrels. I am, after all, a well rounded guy with varied interests.
Sunbathing!!!
My foster mom had family visiting and sitting on a couch with people in the afternoon sun may be one of the best things there is!! Even when it’s cold outside, that Colorado sun hit just right through a south facing window!!
I know that people are sometimes very busy, so I would like to offer my services. I will give you a reminder and a reason to sit each afternoon in the sun and just enjoy the warmth.
