I’ve had the pleasure of looking after some lovely pets this week whilst their owners enjoyed some time away or had to work.

I love meeting them and getting to know their personalities and little quirks 💕

When people think about rabbits eating, the first food that springs to mind is often carrots, 🥕 but this is incorrect.

While rabbits love carrots as a treat, they are high in sugar and too much carrot is unhealthy for rabbits. Think of it like us and chocolate, we love it, but it should never be the focus of our diet.

A rabbit’s diet should consist of 85% grass or feeding hay. This is because these long fibres are integral to a rabbit’s digestive and dental health.

Remember to keep those pups cool in this weather.

Dogs won’t die from missing a few walks, but they can certainly die from heat stroke! Keep them cool and safe indoors or in a shady garden.

Hello!

West Wick Pet Services is a new pet sitting business run by myself (Katy) and aided by my husband and son.

I have over 20 years experience working with and caring for animals, and have been a qualified vet working in small animal practices since 2009. I am fully insured and DBS checked.

Whilst you are away from home I can provide in-home visits to let dogs into the garden, check on cats & small animals and make sure they’re fed watered clean and happy.

Visits for animals needing specialist care can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Our services are currently only available to residents of West Wick.

Regretfully we cannot provide dog walking services nor animal boarding in our own home at this time.
