Great news! Riot had a normal 24 hour holter report- May 2021 and Jan 2021. He has his yearly echo on Monday, so I wanted to get a more recent holter. (Typically, we are now doing holters every 6 months).

The 24 holter monitor is recommended to be done yearly, along with a yearly echo, for Dobermans. Sadly, cardiac disease occurs in at least 50% of Dobermans.

24 hour holter monitor time!

All dobermans, beginning the age of 2 years, should have YEARLY 24 hour heart monitors and echos for screening for Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), which is a cardiac disease affecting at least 50% of the doberman breed. Early detection is key in diagnosis and treatment of the disease to get the best possible prognosis

This sweet boy, Mr. Red, left today for his new life in Maine. I couldn't be more thrilled with the home he's found! He was incredibly special to me because he needed a little extra care initially, and he (and his 3 week "foster mom") taught me how to bottle feed! He was a pro!

Introducing Divina's Little Fighter! He will be known to his family as Dullahan, or Dulles for short.
