No!
Please don’t let them fight 🙏
I’ve heard many times something like “let them fight to help them establish their hierarchy” or “they will solve their conflicts alone”
Cats lack of submissive behaviour, and after a fight they “don’t know how to say sorry”; so, their relationship will be severely damaged from this, for long time.
They don’t have strong dominance roles or hierarchies neither; so there’s no point in letting them fight. Well, you can let them fight only if you want to break their bond for ever.
Cats fight only as the last resource, they will show other agonistic behaviours before this, such as posturing, vocalisation or more subtle such as “silent conflict signs” (check my post about this or join our masterclass on the 25th of July!). If your cats are actively fighting, they have a BIG problem and it won’t be resolved by them, they will need professional intervention to improve (that not solve) the situation.
So, if you are not sure if your cats are playing or fighting (check my last reel), if you are not sure if your cats like each other, if you are introducing a new cat at home, etc. don’t let them fight! As soon as you see or hear any negative emotions, please keep them separate and look for professional help!! We can work together in our online consultations to prevent this situation or to prevent it to escalate; or even to try to reverse all the negative emotions.

When observing cats, it can sometimes be tricky to differentiate between play and actual fighting. Here are some other signs to help you tell the difference:
▪️Quiet vs. Noisy: If your cats are rolling around with little noise apart from occasional meows or chirps, they’re likely playing. Cats don’t vocalize playtime in the same way as fights. Growling, hissing, and spitting indicate a fight.
▪️Body Language: Relaxed body language, smooth movements, and taking turns suggest play. Tense bodies, staring, and aggressive postures indicate a fight.
▪️Ears and Eyes: Straight-up or forward ears during play, but folded-back ears during a fight. Dilated eyes signal confrontation.
⚠️Remember, if it sounds serious or you’re unsure, it’s best to intervene and ensure their safety! We can work together in our 1-to-1 sessions to improve their relationship⚠️

Let’s explore the benefits of reducing stress for our feline companions:
🦠Healthier Immune System: Chronic stress weakens the immune system, making cats more susceptible to illnesses. By minimizing stress, we help boost their natural defenses.
😻Improved Behavior: Stressed cats may exhibit aggression, excessive grooming, or litter box issues. Reducing stress leads to better behavior and a happier home environment.
♥️Longer Lifespan: Stress takes a toll on overall health. When cats experience less stress, they tend to live longer, healthier lives.
😘😽Enhanced Bonding: A calm cat is more receptive to affection and companionship. Reducing stress fosters a stronger bond between you and your feline friend.
🧘🏻♀️Reduced Anxiety: Cats can suffer from anxiety disorders. Stress reduction helps alleviate anxiety symptoms, promoting mental well-being.
Remember, a stress-free cat not only benefits their health but also enhances the quality of your relationship with them! 😺🌟

I prefer interactive play and enriched environments. As vet & feline behaviourist, I’ve spent years studying and trying to understand cats, let me share with you my best tips:
💡distribute key resources around the house
💡have multiple and separate of each key resource
💡ensure your cat can do his life without having to encounter any other cat in the household (or toddler!!)
💡puzzle feeders are cheap and the most effective way to stimulate a cat
💡avoid locating water and food together, especially those double feeders ❌
💡the scratcher post will be your best friend

One of the most common causes of house soiling: litter aversion. The cat is not happy with the texture and has to find other ways to use the litter box. Many cats just choose another spot: bed, sofa, floor…
The treatment is simple: find another type of litter, usually I recommend a fine clay substrate, but each cat is different!
Have you ever heard about this? Is your cat peeing or pooping out of the litter box? Send me a pm, I can help you 🙏
