Luckily, thanks to this rescue, Muggs got to walk out to freedom instead of the hall to euthanasia. He’s such a happy dog that I have no doubt he would have been wagging his tail and giving his kisses to whoever had to euthanize him. I know this is sad to even think about but THIS IS REALITY. It started for us with this picture. Muggs had been at a shelter in Amarillo, TX since May 2021. Due to shelters being at max capacity, he was placed on the urgent list to be fostered or adopted. Workers at the shelter adored him and he was the “star dog tester” as they would call him. Basically what that means is he has such great dog-to-dog skills they used him to test other dogs coming in to see if that dog is ok with others. He sat in the shelter with several kennel buddies and each buddy he would watch get adopted while he waited like the good boy he is. K-9 Freekz Rescue stepped up to pull dogs from this shelter to be fostered. He was saved from death row July 17, 2021 💗 and made his journey to his foster home in Omaha, NE.

Our family consists of 2 little boys, a bearded dragon, and 2 adults with a lot of love to give since our elderly dog passed away a few months ago due to old age. There has been a huge void in our hearts and home and we knew Muggs could help lift our spirits as we promised we would do for him as well. Welcome to our foster journey with this young man. Thanks for being here and don’t forget to give him a share for more people to follow his journey. This is the beginning of his happy ever after.
