Since wedding season has been put on hold, we have an abundance of the best spring blooms looking for new homes! Our annual Winter Family Farm day! Each season we gather together and spend the day planting. I really look forward to this time! We planted over 10,000 flowers this past weekend. Believe it or not that was the easy part. All the hard work is starting the seeds, preparing the soil and laying out the soaker hoses.

Dyeing fabric with fresh flowers! We had a great time at Quarter Acre during our Eco-Dyeing event. It was so nice to relax with our wonderful flower friends. We appreciate all of your support and look forward to hosting more in the spring when blooms start coming in.

Wonderful 🍂Fall Gathering🍂 at The Historic Rutgers House for the Tallahassee Garden Club. The Gardenia Garden Circle enjoyed bunches of Wheat Celosia, Coleus, Zinnia, Ageratum and Dog Fennel.

A big thank you to all our 🌸Flower Friends that joined us for the "Love a Succulent Pumpkin" workshop! We had a great time at the Flying Bear Great American Grill last week. The weather was great and the patio was a prefect place to enjoy each other. Sorry to the few of you that missed the group photo. Our next Pumpkin date will be on the 15th!

Dahlias are blooming for the Fall Season!🍂🌺 We are so lucky to have 2 wonderful seasons of fresh Dahlias. Most of them are reserved for weddings but a few make it into bouquets for Tallahassee Farmers Market on Saturdays.

🌱Hyacinth Vine🌱 There is an old English saying "Be useful as well as ornamental" Edible flowers, Great for pollinators, Heat tolerant and Deep purple pods on long stems perfect for Fall bouquets!

Why we love to grow 🌾Wheat Celosia🌾 verses the crested varieties. After many trails wheat has proven time and again to be the most heat tolerant and insect resistant variety for our zone. The most prolific branching variety reaching 3ft. high and 3ft. wide. We seed our Celosia and Larkspur in rows together the first week of January. The Celosia will not germinate until the temperature reaches 85 degrees - which is exactly when the Larks have started fading. The Larks are allowed to seed providing a nice canopy of protection. I hope this answers the many emails we have received on the topic. Happy Growing my Flower friends🌸

Always trying new varieties of flowers that will preform well here in growing zone 8b. This Pepperbox poppy is still blooming despite the recent heat wave. The seed pods are just as lovely as it's bloom.
