This is crucial because doing so too early can interfere with their hormone development. The hormones are necessary for proper skeletal and muscular growth and development.

Females; After their first heat!
Males; At least one year old, but waiting up to two years is ideal.

1st photo is at 12 months (1st heat)
2nd photo is 3 years of age
