We want to address the recent incident at Alvarado Greenbriar Humane Society that has deeply saddened and concerned us all. We share your outrage and understand the pain caused by the actions of one individual. Rest assured, we have taken immediate steps to rectify the situation and to prevent such incidents from ever happening again.
We want to reaffirm our commitment to the well-being and care of every animal in our shelter. We have terminated the employee responsible for the inappropriate actions. We have also ended the employment of the manager who did not aptly address community concerns and enabled the employee's poor behavior.
Moving forward, we have implemented comprehensive training programs to ensure all employees understand and adhere to our core values of compassion, respect, and empathy. We will not tolerate any form of mistreatment towards the animals under our supervision.
We encourage open dialogue and welcome any questions, suggestions, or feedback you may have. Let's work together to rebuild and strengthen our community, ensuring the animals in our care receive the love and appreciation they deserve.
