We’re facing an influx of calls to help abused and neglected pitbulls and other breeds suffering from cruelty, but our resources are stretched thin. TOWNSHIP OUTREACH PROJECT CVC

TOP, established in 2016, emerged from the urgent need to support animals in the Chris Nissen Park township of Somerset West. Recognising the critical need for sterilisations and education, TOP quickly initiated mass sterilisation campaigns in collaboration with various CVCs and veterinarians.

Our efforts extended beyond medical care to include educational programs for children, outreach clinics for essential treatments like dipping and deworming, and the distribution of kennels to improve living conditions for the animals. Over the years, TOP expanded its impact by launching a fostering and adoption program, successfully finding homes for hundreds of animals. Collaborating with numerous organisations on sterilisation campaigns, we also began assisting other groups in arranging their own campaigns.

This experience highlighted the immense need for more localised solutions, leading to the formation of our own CVC to better address the challenges faced by communities and welfares in the Western Cape.

OUR MISSON AND GOALS

Our mission is threefold:
1. Empower Communities: We provide affordable sterilisation services to promote healthier pets and reduce overpopulation.

2. Educate Owners: We offer vital knowledge on responsible pet care through workshops and resources.

3. Elevate Welfare: We work to improve animal welfare infrastructure and advocate for better policies to ensure lasting positive change.

In addition to our direct initiatives, are main goal partner with local welfare organisations to support affordable mass sterilisation campaigns.

Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to build stronger communities, one healthy pet at a time.

Roxy is an old lady, she didn’t bark so she wasn’t wanted any more, tied up with no escape, she spent her days on a chain often without food and water, with no shelter and ignored by her owners, simply there to bark and alert her owners to any criminal event that might occur.

Roxy is not old only 7/8 but too old for the township, she has been vaccinated, sterilized and microchipped and has earned her place in the sun, she is good with other dogs and people of all ages, if you can give Roxy a place to relax and enjoy her golden years she will amaze you with her love and loyalty, she fits in everywhere and loves everything and will make the most incredible companion or “family dog” if you can give Roxy a space in your heart and home please contact me.

Luke disappeared in Pretoria North on the 16th of December 2020 after garden services left the gate open. He was last seen the night of the 16th at the Heatherdale Cemetery on Rachel de Beer, Pretoria North and disappeared without a trace.

He can be ANYWHERE in SOUTH AFRICA.
