These pocket hippos are looking for a forever pet home. There are two Baldwin brothers and their carrier furry father (pic of them together) that are in the same cage. These boys are adorable and very friendly. A werewolf male currently alone and was with others until they left. Best for an older person but heâd never bite. He would like a friend and you would need to know how to introduce guinea pigs. Heâs really cool and loves his nose scratched. Then I have two bonded Baldwin females. They must stay together. They are always with each other sleeping. Itâs pretty cute. There are individual pictures of the girls then one of them together. All are friendly, held frequently, nice guinea pigs. They are not to use for breeding. I also have c&c cages that can go with them and everything they have. Located in Albany NY. PM for more information.
Luna and Otis has found a new home. There are still pocket hippos available.
After much thought I have decided to stop breeding guinea pigs. Even with a loss of a guinea pig the hardest part for me is to find them good homes which is the only thing I want for the guinea pigs I brought into this world. There are other reasons and if youâd like to know just ask me.
These are the remaining American Pocket Hippos I have to rehome. There are males and females. The picture of them eating out of my hand are males. There is a male werewolf. Iâd prefer they go to a pet home. Located in Albany NY.
Look at this boy! Otis is always jumping up there. đ Do you have a guinea pig that does something unique? Heâs my only one that does. I wonder what the other one is thinking.
Long but needed post.
The lady that was supposed to pick up Chuck, Arlo, and Bear tonight stood me up. I made sure she was coming and I decided to make cuddle sacks for the two baldwins today. I gave up my evening to meet her, got the guinea pigs ready, told my kids they were leaving, and spent time making the cuddle sacks and even asked her preference. I may have even shed a tear saying good bye to them.
She tells me sheâs 45 minutes away and once that time has passed I send her a message and sheâs like âoh you didnât get my message.â Let me tell you. This is why people ask for a deposit. I knew better because this happens and has happened in the past. However I am thankful she wonât be getting them. I told her she doesnât deserve my boys and itâs true. They are so sweet, gentle, and playful. They will stay with me until the perfect family wants them.
If you are the perfect family they are available.
Edit: The lady lied, never came, and they are available.
These three boys found a home TOGETHER! Chuck, Arlo, and Bear are snacking up on peas before their journey to PA. And many pets from us. Saying good bye is always hard but knowing they are going to a good home makes it easier. Chuck, the one with fur, would always get pampered by my daughter. He is her favorite. She would wipe him down with a pet wipe, comb his hair, and even paint his nails. He didnât mind. I call him a gentle giant because thatâs Chuck. The baldwins are getting a cuddle sack and mine got a couple new ones too. I always make sure my hippos are warm.
I trained my guinea pigs to go in a basket when they leave or go back to their cage. This is helpful for pregnant sows as I was nervous picking them when I would clean out their cage. They would go in this this basket and I didnât have to worry about hurting them. Itâs also helpful when they free roam, I put this basket down and they go right in. In this video you see me putting the basket down and Peaches walks right in.
Once I saw a lilac guinea pig I knew I wanted one. He had a rough journey to our house but he is finally getting settled in and trusting us. Iâm not sure of his original two names but his first name with us was Oakley. Itâs currently Frost and Iâm not sure heâs a Frost. If you have a name recommendation for him please share. We like nature, food, and silly odd names.
Picture: my daughter would only do school work if she could hold a guinea pig.
