It’s been months since I’ve updated my Doggy Love page so please accept my apologies. Life just gets busier for Jeff and I and I’ve just changed jobs and my time is limited. But we are super lucky to still have Jeff working from home to multi-task with the dogs! A couple of updates from us - we lost our beautiful Jess late last year to old age and as dog lovers we know you will understand the pain of losing a much loved fur child but she is now pain free and holds a special place in our hearts. We also acquired an incredibly handsome golden retriever “Wolfie” who is now around 20 months old and doing amazingly well - a total goof ball but adorable! Bentley is loving having another boy in the house to play and challenge with but he’s still the boss. And our beautiful cats Willow and Miss Kingsley are still gaining confidence with new dogs but are so relaxed with retrievers!
So for the 2024-2025 year we have very limited availability and unfortunately will not be in a position to have any new dogs (call us for more detail). We can hopefully still accommodate our old or current customers but ask you to book few months ahead of time. And of course prices continue to rise in NZ so we have had to sadly increase our rate by $5 extra per day/night.
So from all of us to you - wishing you and your furries a fabulous 2024 year and please get in touch with us at any time if your furry friend needs luxury accommodation at basic prices. It’s been some time since I’ve posted on our site as life has been super busy - the crazy weather has also affected our doggy yard with a homemade swimming pool better known as flooding! But we are drying out and all our doggies can at least get some outdoor time now which is fantastic. We also have some exciting news - we now permanently have another furry in the house - a beautiful young golden retriever called Wolfie. A stunningly handsome boy who’s had a bit of a rough start following neutering going horribly wrong but he is back to his normal puppy self now and ready for some zoomies and play time. This addition does mean however that we are limited to only a max of 2 extra doggies at any one time. We are fully booked from now until the end of August and have two closures - 5-10 Oct 2023 and 18-26 January 2024. Contact us as soon as you know your holiday dates so we can accommodate your woof 🐶 that’s all from us - sending licks and love from Doggy Love ❤️

Hi to all our doggy love fans - it’s been a while since we’ve been in touch as life has been pretty crazy for us over the last few months - but Jeff continues to be an incredible Doggy Love Director 🐾 with great adventures, play times and great pics while I’m stuck in the big city for my day job! But summer is coming and it’s great to get out after work for our evening strolls. We are fully booked now until end of Feb 23 so don’t forget to get in early for those long weekends next year - we are now only taking 6 dogs at any one time so we can give your dog the love and care it deserves! (Plus the cats 🐈 🐈‍⬛ hate us if there’s too many dogs!!! So from us to you - Happy summer and happy holidays and don’t forget to put sunblock on your furry friends noses 👃 if you’re out and about and always have water 💦 available. It’s certainly been an adventurous and busy few weeks with our beautiful home stay doggies! We have very happy furries who have loved all their new spots from bush treks, water holes, beaches, roadies and playtime with a few treats for good behaviour. It’s always fun and games at Doggy Love - we love your dogs as much as they love us ! Please note: Doggy Love is temporarily closed from 17th January to 26th February for a very important occasion 💒 however bookings for Easter and Queens birthday weekend will soon be available. Loads of fun for this lot - finally together again post Covid while their humans take a break over Xmas/New Year - wonderful weather for exploring and swimming! Doggy Love never disappoints - awaiting Lily girl and Indie another two of our favourites then the pack is complete.

Hey doggy lovers - the year is nearly over and We are long overdue to touch base and say happy December, let the freedom begin. Covid-19 has changed so much for all of us this year with no travel and no doggy love but the great news is we are finally let out to enjoy our summer beach holidays with less restrictions and we wish you all a wonderful Christmas and safe travels. At this stage we are fully booked with our regular pooches from Christmas through to 15th January and then “Doggy Love” is taking a break for a month or so to do some loving ourselves - getting married and honeymooning in the South. Dates closed are 15th January to 25th February 2022.
But please if you have future plans for your holiday let us know early so we can lock your dates in and give your dog the luxury it deserves. Until next time

Hey doggy lovers - life has been busy with new doggos joining us for adventures and social play as well as our normal day jobs and planning our wedding ! Everyone who is single needs to buy a dog - this is how our love story happened and we can’t wait to have Bentley as best man and Jess as matron of honour!
Getting back to business we still have two vacancies for Labour weekend if you are heading away without your furry friend but sadly Dec/Jan is FULLY BOOKED already! And shut off date for Doggy Love will be from 20th Jan - 20th Feb due to the wedding/honeymoon - ❤️ doggy love ❤️

Hi everyone - hope you and your doggies are keeping warm and well in the July winter - it’s been great to spend some time spoiling our furry friends during the holidays and we are looking forward to having the lovely Lily girl back this weekend. A few days ago we had a new fur baby to add to our crew but sadly he was too timid in a new environment and needed a lot more confidence and socialisation to feel part of the pack - he was a stunning beautiful blue Merle collie but still in tact making the relationship with Bentley challenging and he toileted in the house to mark his territory - a lesson in this that I wanted to share from my experience - get your baby fixed between 6-9 months if you just want him/her as a pet not for breeding - it really does make them a better and healthier doggy and stress free for daycare and sleepovers - here are some more recent pics of our regular home stays thanks to our director and champion photographer (and the love of my life and my dogs!) And finally don’t forget Labour weekend October and Christmas - limited spaces available book in now! Only $28.50 per day for a luxury stay with run of the house and loads of adventures guaranteed as well as daily report and pics via text so you know how your fur baby is doing.

Hi doggy lovers just a quick update from us - we have now moved to our new home in Torbay that’s loaded with doggy love - mins from stunning reserves and beaches. We are just settling in the puddycat then we will be ready to share our love again with your pooches. We are now taking bookings for Easter and there’s only 2 more spots available. “Doggy Love” ❤️ is on the move! From Monday 15th February we will be based in the gorgeous Torbay close to our beautiful bush reserves, Long Bay and Torbay secret hideaways and beaches! We look forward to your furry friend joining us for a luxury stay with a lot of green grass and indoor/outdoor flow for playtime and peacefulness. We are taking a break for a while to settle in so if you need an urgent home stay give us a call 📞 and we might be organised to have your furry friend.

Hi everyone - firstly big apologies for delay in uploading latest info on Doggy Love and pics of amazing doggies. It's been crazy Xmas and New year with 6 doggies sharing our queen size bed! But we've all had a wonderful time and many adventures. And the most exciting news for Doggy Love is that the amazing Jeff Butler is not only the love of my life but also an experienced and passionate doggy lover so your dog gets double love to the extreme.
But for more news - Doggy Love is moving house in 2 weeks to a beautiful site in Torbay which is fully fenced, surveillance monitored, indoor/outdoor flow, fruit trees and toys! And stunning bush walk 100m away! We are talking Doggy heaven at its finest! So we need a break Feb/Mar to settle then good to go for Easter bookings. Please remember if you have booked with us during Feb/Mar that's all good.

PLEASE NOTE AND SHARE WIDELY: From today, 1 December to 1 March dogs are prohibited from 10 am to 5 pm on the majority of Auckland beaches. We fought hard for many years for these much improved rules so please remember to be responsible when you are on the beach and don't let your dog run up to other people - we don't want to lose these gains.
