Thank you for your interest in and support for Capriccio Pembroke Welsh Corgis! I’m a small hobby breeder that breeds fairly infrequently, and my current waitlist policy is that I keep a very short pet puppy waitlist. If you are willing to be patient, I’d love to get to know you better, regardless if my waitlist is officially open or not. I understand that sometimes people are not willing to wait
for over a year or two, or three, for a puppy – and that is fine by me. If you do go ahead and purchase a puppy from another breeder, PLEASE reach out and let me know so that I can take your name off the list (so that someone else has a chance). Also, please let me know if you are on other waitlists. I will match a puppy to you based on your needs and the puppy’s temperament. Puppies go home between 10-12 weeks depending on the situation, and adult dogs (retirees) will also have a month “probation” where the dog will spend some time with both myself and the new family to ensure a new transition. In terms of health testing for my dogs, I test for von Willebrand’s disease, Degenerative Myelopathy (we can talk more about this later), hip dysplasia, and CERF eye testing. My dogs are shown under the CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB (CKC – NOT the ConKC, the Continental Kennel club, which is a scam registry), and in the future perhaps under the AKC. Dogs involved in my breeding program are proven examples of the breed, and I breed towards the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed standard (structure x function) as much as possible. I do this in order to preserve the breed out of love for well-bred purebred dogs. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and don't hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
