Charlie Mastering Stairs
Client updates like this make me so happy! Charlie and his owner Julie have been working hard on Charlie mastering stairs. I love seeing the commitment and dedication Julie had on helping Charlie to be successful! #dogtraining
Need an easy enrichment idea for your dog(s)?!?! Look no further because here is a simple one.
All you need for this one is a towel, dog food, high value treats (optional), and of course your dog(s). You'll lay the towel out flat and scatter your dog's food (I like to add random high value treats) and then roll it up. What is nice about this is you can make it super easy or increase the difficulty by rolling the towel differently or adding knots. This is a fun and easy way to challenge your dog mentally. This can also help them be calmer throughout the day. I like to use this when I know I'm going to be gone for a good amount of the day or when I'm under the weather.
Recommendations:
1. Take food from your dog's daily food amount so they are not getting extra calories.
2. Supervise your dog during this so they don't chew up the towel when they are done but also so you can help them if you made it too difficult for them to figure it out.
3. If you have multiple dogs and want to do this for all of them I recommend having them in different areas of your home so they have space to enjoy this activity on their own.
Enjoy and let me know if you have questions!
