🐶 Magic 🐶 Available for Adoption 🐶
Magic is a one year old lab/bully mix. He is very smart and playful. He would love to find a semi active person or family that he can go on adventures with. It may be best for Magic to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention. He does ok with other dogs when he is introduced properly. This baby struggles with sharing his food. He does do better with females - he may be a little bit of a Casanova. Training and slow introductions could help ease him into a home with another furbaby.

🌺Penny🌺
The third picture is how Penny lived. She was left at a relatives house after her previous owner no longer wanted her. She was replaced by a puppy (that’s another very sad story). She is a beautiful senior that deserved so much better. Her life was a chain and a plastic covered house. Her story will have a happy ending though because a small group of people cared. Thank you Sandy for going to get her and Thank you Tammey for getting her here.

The sad reality is that as neglected as her life was, she still had it better than many others in Alabama. She at least had shelter and was fed. Penny’s story is proof that sometimes just by reaching out and caring you can change an unwanted animals life. ($50 changed her life, that is what it cost to purchase her out of living that way - chained and unwanted).

Rescue doesn’t always win many wars, but the small battles and skirmishes that we do win matter too!

🐣Chance🐣- This handsome boy has come a very long way. He is no longer the very scared shut down pup that was pulled from a shelter. Thanks to an amazing foster he is now a happy playful pup. (Thank you Tammey for giving him his second chance).

This beautiful girl is named Lemon. We call her Lemony Cricket. She recently came to us from a small county shelter. This baby was overlooked and it became critical to get her out of the shelter before her time was up. Y’all she is absolutely awesome in every way. Please check out the small rural shelters in Alabama when you are looking to add a new furbaby to your family.

Tiger is a big goofball….he is one of our permanent residents. Tiger was pushed out of a car and left on the side of the road. Although that hurt his feelings, it did not break his spirit. He became part of our family 3 years ago.

Kidd, our military foster, has been enjoying the last few days of nice weather. He loves to explore. Kidd has already been here with us for almost 1 year. We will have one more year with him before his family comes back to the States. His dad is in the Army serving our country overseas.

It’s been a while since my last post, I have had some health issues but I am starting to feel better so it is time to get back to it. We have several new faces here at the ranch. This is 3 of our newcomers - meet Lily, Lemon, and Chance. Chance was fostered by my friend Tammey who helped him overcome some of his fears. He has moved to the ranch so he can work on his social skills. He will be available for adoption soon🥰

Pupdate - Fate (now Sam) made it safely to his new home in Pennsylvania. It didn’t take him long to steal the hearts of his new family (except maybe the cats - they are unimpressed). He has already claimed his favorite spot on the couch and I’m told that he is a bit of a bed hog. They absolutely love him and said that he fits in perfectly with their family.❤️

This is Gypsy’s baby boy. The wonderful staff at Hollywood Feed gave him lots of love when we stopped by there on our way home yesterday.

Gypsy was a stray that decided that she would have her babies at a business by the Birmingham Airport. The employees made her a safe place to have her pups and cared for them until they were old enough to find homes. All but one of her little ones were adopted by her caretakers. We welcomed Gypsy and her last pup to the ranch yesterday. After they finish their vetting they will be available for adoption.

🥲💕Fate has left the Ranch💕🥲. This sweet boy is on his way to meet his forever family in Pennsylvania. His new family has promised that lots of love and adventure is waiting for him. Happy trails big boy! Fate was one of my fosters from Love Hope & Paws Dog Rescue.

Kenny is one of my beautiful seniors. He could barely walk when he came here a few months ago. He had been neglected and left to fend for himself. His transformation has even surprised my vet. It is amazing what a little love can do. I cherish each and everyday I have with him. ❤️

Ok, this picture took a lot of time and treats! Kidd does not care for the hat! He did however let me take one so that I could send it to his family serving overseas. He wishes everyone a Merry Christmas!

Ian came to us a few months ago. He was fortunate enough to be found by someone that took the time to make sure he made it somewhere safe. He is a super sweet loving boy but he does have some resource guarding issues and he wasn’t sure if he liked playing with other dogs. He has been working really hard learning to play with others and share toys. He isn’t perfect yet (he still forgets to share sometimes) but he has progressed so he definitely made it on Santa’s good list.

Heidi spent an afternoon with the outstanding staff and kind hearted customers at the Hollywood Feed in Mtn. Brook! After lots of hugs and love, a very nice customer bought Heidi a toy that she shopped for all by herself. This was her first ”best day ever”!

It has been a busy week! We will have some new faces at the Ranch. Thanks to a combined effort from Tammey Elliot, Wendy Michelle Montealegre, and a very kind hearted transporter - Heidi safely made it out of the shelter and is settling into the Ranch life. After her vetting is complete she will be available for adoption.

Chance has come a long way in a short time. Tammey has done an amazing job helping him learn how to trust. He has learned how to accept love and affection and his tail now wags. He has come out of his shell and is starting to play with her other fur babies!
