Farmer John slaughterhouse is SHUTTING DOWN next year! This is a victory we will celebrate when it comes. Activists have put enormous and relentless pressure on this place with huge multi-day protests, nightly vigils, pollution court judgement, Prop 12 which is in the courts now, and grassroots activism. This is just the beginning of what we can accomplish through these types of actions. We will keep fighting with all we got!

According the plant's parent company, Smithfield Foods, Inc., the decision was made due to "escalating cost of doing business in California."

We spent Saturday morning at the Tuna Harbor Dockside Market to document the suffering of animals and destruction of wildlife and the ocean here in San Diego.

With Chinese New Year coming the lines were much longer and we raced time to raise money to rescue Spiny Lobsters - many of the customers stood in line for an hour and GAVE US MONEY TO RESCUE but it was too late.

And the crabs we are told will suffer and die if we don't take them back to the correct ocean depth so we saved the money for two Spiny Lobsters to be rescued first thing next time. We know the Lobsters are okay released at the shore. That left us heartbroken and depressed. It was HARD to see all these precious living beings suffering and making the call to walk away.

We may have stopped more future cruelty by demanding they STOP slamming the crabs as they search for females so customers can have the mother crabs for their eggs. There were NO females at all in the bin they dumped here but each animal was picked up, inspected, and slammed back down likely because we asked her not to which is criminal animal cruelty with malicious intent.

We do have small wins when we speak up for the animals and do some oversight as vendors are actually breaking animal cruelty laws that nobody acknowledges. Sometimes we get the police involved and that scares them enough to stop slamming or dismembering animals who are still alive. It still doesn't save lives or account for all the blood that is pouring all over the ground and creating pathogen and Biohazard risk where humans that visit come into contact with potential for disease outbreak or the next uncontrollable pandemic due to our sadistic treatment of other species.

And there is SO MUCH BLOOD HERE. Anyone wondering why we live on such a cruel uncaring world needs to see the pools of blood and dead bodies and total apathy here.

If anyone has a boat or knowledge about crabs please contact me. We would like to have the option of saving these animals lives too.

TWO Spiny Lobsters, Craig and Nicole, were RESCUED from being sold and boiled alive early Saturday morning at Tuna Harbor Dockside Market in San Diego. Activists gave out flowers in return for donations and offered re-education training for fisherman to learn floral design as a new and comparable career instead of fishing and slaughtering the beautiful animals that make this threatened ecosystem their home.

Creativity and innovation has been driving the campaign taking on the massive commercial fishing industry in San Diego. Join Outreach and Protest events that happen at least once a month at this wet market outdoor slaughterhouse and help change minds and save lives ❤🦞🦞

SATURDAY - in San Diego - Please join us at Tuna Harbor Dockside Market at 598 W. Harbor Blvd in San Diego for a Protest and Outreach of the fishing industry.

We have signs, leaflets, and chalk but feel free to bring your own. We can document and have conversations inside of the market and we have a rescue table outside where we can speak out or stand quietly etc. We were able to rescue one individual last month and hope to again Saturday!

There are many ways to participate at these monthly protests and all are appreciated!

SUNDAY - OUTREACH & PROTEST - 11:30am - 1:30pm at Griffith Park Pony Rides and Petting Zoo. Please join us to stand up for the animals abused at the Griffith Park Pony Rides and Petting Zoo. These animals are tied to rotating Pony-go-round, chained in the sun, forced to give rides to children while workers run behind them clapping and scaring them when they are elderly, injured, and emotionally beaten to death. HELP US ban animal abuse and exploitation in Griffith Park.

We have signs to stand and protest - you are welcome to bring your own sign, we can gather signatures for the petition at https://bit.ly/banponyrides, and we can bear witness and document the abuse of the victims.

It is critical that this campaign continues with constant pressure from activists working to physically be on site, contacting the city council, and speaking on the animals behalf in the press and social media. Thank you to EVERYONE who can support!

SATURDAY and SUNDAY please join one of the back to back outreach and protests at Griffith Park Pony Rides.

Horses are abused, exploited, unloved chained up and chased around a track by somebody scaring them and forcing elderly, injured, miserable horses to give rides to children.

Please stand up for these animals or ask how to join the campaigns from home. The horses need you. We need to shut this place down.

Orange County Animal Save is there for the chickens every Friday Night. They hold a vigil at three slaughterhouses and always have a rescue team on hand if needed.

Many of the racks were filled with babies so there were little chirping noises coming from some of the birds who are usually deathly silent.

One baby was able to be rescued last night. Welcome to the life you deserve baby Maria ❤

Although activists in San Diego were unable to rescue any of the live animals and wildlife at Tuna Harbor Dockside Market today, they spoke to countless customers and vendors asking them to spare these animals from vicious slaughter and holding vigil for the deceased.

San Diego needs to shut the fishing industry down. This is a wet market with fish bodies being hacked aboard a boat and in booths with blood, heads, tails, live animals, multiple species mixed with water and ice splashing; blood flowing down walkways and pieces of their bodies are strewn around.

During a time of wet markets causing communicable diseases the next pandemic could begin right here! All of these animals suffer a violent and cruel death, fishing is killing the dying ecosystem, and their suffering is not worth a meal laced with toxic heavy metals, microplastics and an offshore oil spill.

The Harbor police were called by activists for violent threats made against them and the police helped uphold their 1st amendment rights to speak and protest for the remainder of the morning to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.

OUTREACH & PROTEST this Saturday 30th. Please join us at Tuna Harbor on Saturday from 7:20 - 10:00 am. This a wet market. Fish and other animals are brutally killed in view. We will have a rescue table set up in case we have success with a live animal. We need volunteers 🙋‍♀️

We will be there to educate the mass amount of people, and will have signs, leaflets, Bloody aprons, but feel free to make/wear your own costume - welcome wildlife educators, rescuers, livestreamers, investigators, photogs, videos, press, media, outreachers, speakers, and people at home to boost the Livestreams and posts for these.

Hermes was asked to DROP Crocodile skin yesterday in Beverly Hills. There is no valid reason to cause horrific cruelty and suffering to crocodiles who spend their entire lives on factory farms and are brutally murdered for their skin. Please tell Hermes you will no longer shop there until they DROP Croc.

*handbags, blood, animal skin, leather, is all fake here but the suffering of crocodiles is very real.
