Our a/c unit went out. Sadly it’s not just a small fix and the whole unit will need replacing.
Unfortunately I will not be able to provide services at the moment.

🐾 Meet your pet care professional 🐾

Hey there, My name is Abby.
I'm a mom of two, home maker, and pet care professional.
When I'm not taking care of my family or furry friends you can find me practicing my fire spinning, hanging out with friends, or reading a good book.
I got into animal care at the young age of eight. In my childhood I spent a lot of my time caring for my show animals and holding office in my local 4-H. This is where my desire to become a vet came from. After I graduated from Anderson-Shiro I followed my passion of animal care and obtained my vet assistant certification. I took this education and continued hands on learning about the pet care industry. I've worked for boarding facilities, pet shelters, vet offices, and grooming salons. Through out all these experience's I found my calling in pet care. I knew I was not cut out for surgery but I still wanted to help pets feel their best.
That's why I created Pet Care by Abby. I am able to offer preventive care to help pets look and feel their best while offering boarding and sitting services. I have great plans for service expansions as I continue my education! Striving to make a wonderful company for pets and pet parents.

🐾Is it worth it to have your short haired dog groomed professionally?

In short, YES!

Each and every dog should see a groomer every 4-6 weeks. This not only helps them look their best, but also feel their best. Professional groomers are trained to notice changes in your dogs body. By seeing them on a regular basis, it allows us to know your dogs body and be able to tell if there are any changes that require attention. Groomers can detect lumps, sores, and parasites. Early detection of changes in the body is the best protection.
Preventive care is so important in keeping you dog happy and healthy. Coat, skin, nails, and teeth all play an important role in your dogs overall health.

Short haired dogs shed just as much if not more than long coated dogs. A dog that is maintained every 4-6 weeks will shed less and have healthier skin and coat. You can request a deshedding treatment from your groomer to help control the under coat. This not only saves you from the fur but allows the dogs skin to breath, removes dander and reduces the possibility of hot spots.
