🥳 COVERED & ORDERED!!! ❤️

3.5 years ago we bought a small incubator, it wasn't fancy and cost $200.00 I didn't expect the greatness that it gave us and how many animals found love and comfort with their heartbeat bears in it. There were so many puppies and kittens in here and I truly believed it was crucial to their survival.

Well its coming to the end of its life, a light went out and a new bulb didn't fix it, but it still has 5 puppies to help save.
Can you pitch in $5.00 to put towards a new one? If I order by 5pm it will be here tomorrow.

We are trying to avoid full hospitalizations unless critical, our vet is amazing and equipped is with all the IV fluids, meds and supplies needed and we are lucky enough to have a parvo experienced foster who has spent overnight on the floor next to their enclosure. At least one pup may end up in the ER, but simply having a new powerful incubator could do wonders!!

Late update because I'm exhausted

🚗 On Sunday we transported 24 animals from death row to foster homes in a rental van. It was a smooth transition for the most part. Except 9-10 hours in the most uncomfortable driving position I've ever been in 🥴

But, our amazing group along with Hero's Haven Animal Rescue made the long trip worth it. Thank you so much for everyone who donated to the van rental. The total came to 408.00 including fuel.

We had 8 puppies, known as the Artist litter, you may have seen the post. They all had fosters lined up and ready, however, as soon as I saw them, I knew they could not go to foster homes. They needed to stay together and have a serious evaluation and vet visit.

They are some of the most emaciated puppies we have had, and extremely lethargic. All of these dogs but one came from the same shelter and had the same exposure to all of the same illnesses prior to transport. Parvo isn't ever super surprising, but the visual condition of these puppies was extremely concerning, every rib and bone is visible on all but 1 puppy. A truly disturbing sight.

We got everyone else off the van first and hauled the puppies back to a safe place. Yesterday we confirmed the deadly parvovirus. So now it is round the clock care with fluids.

Please, vaccinate your new puppies. Avoid parks, keep indoors, keep them out of pet stores. We often see itty bitty puppies out in public and it's so dangerous. It puts them and any dog walking into a park or store at risk.
Keep them HOME. Also, spay & neuter.

He has ignored a cat that hangs out in his area, he was previously around a few kids and did well! He was friendly with dogs in the shelter he came from as well! He is 2 years old and fully vetted!!

🏥 I wish today were Monday
So I could call it Medical Monday... Maybe next time.. 🤔 Rescue friends, MM is now a designated day to raise money for medical cases. We just made it up.

It's not Monday but it's medical.
I know when I get manic because I go on a tagging spree. We saved so many animals over the last week. So, many.

Captain Hook was taken to the shelter in the back of a pick up truck and dumped outside, he seemed comfortable in the bed of the truck so he likely had been there before, it was likely his "owner" He came in with a MASSIVE hook in his mouth, wedged into his jaw muscle and check, and a bad limp. He appears underweight and not well cared for at all. Video will be in the comments shortly. He spent the night at the vet last night and is being picked up by a foster today. 🎣

That same foster is dropping off darling, who was knocking on deaths door at a FULL shelter where they rarely leave alive. She ended up being a handful, breaking through chain link multiple times. Severely injuring her leg in the process. We spared you the bloody gore photo. She is on her way to the vet now to evaluate the damage and see if the tissue and muscle is even salvageable. 😔

If you have ever adopted from us, I've likely lectured you on the importance of kennel training, keeping them Kennel trained. The majority of dogs that leave us, leave kennel trained, because to be honest, we have a fantastic team who teaches them their safe place.

Kennel training is extremely important. That doesn't mean they have to stay kenneled every night, every day. It means that you can kennel them during emergencies, and they are comfortable and SAFE. Things as simple as repair guys, inspectors coming in your home, all the way to things like family emergencies, fires, carbon monoxide leaks, which I bring up because that happened to me. I had to rush everyone out, quickly with the fire department. I was able to have my 3 personal dogs, and 2 fosters safely crated in the shade, outside while they cleared my house and I secured another place to stay.

Kennel training can help keep dogs out of shelters and attract adopters more likely than a dog like Darling, who was absolutely never kenneled. The only person to blame is her previous owner. Her poor leg looks demolished, her foster has done everything right, and look at this poor sweet girl!! She needs help, and so do we.

Lastly, the 7 puppies we were able to safe from euthanasia, are severely malnourished and underweight. We already lost one and they will need top quality wet food and dry food to keep them going.

We have 23 animals in total coming to us from Sunday til the 8th from 4 different shelters who begged for help, without them begging and our fosters stepping up, would all be dead. But then we have to stop, we don't have a choice. We cannot keep up. 💔

We're taking a hit, a hard one. I'm angry, I'm sad, I'm a little broken down and I'm extremely exhausted. We have to do better. We have to. There's no other option, there's no side road. 🐈

🐶 Yesterday we got a notification that said these puppies had started dying and were eating each other. I happened to be on the phone with my best friend when I was reading these messages out loud, and she panicked to save their lives and posted for help with fosters for these tiny guys.

I saw a message about mom having aggressive tendencies, and allowing no handling and was going to be euthanized, so I thought she was gone. But I was thankful we were fighting for the babies. Then I learned the mother was still alive. I feel like an absolute monster for not tagging her. The ACO promised she would work with her and keep me updated. She can't fit on this transport and there's no where for her to go. Us, a couple other rescues, along with Hero's Haven (mostly them ❤️) did a fantastic job of tagging dogs taking up space and we're hoping we can get mom on another transport. We don't leave family behind and this situation is already so difficult and unique. My heart is broken leaving her there but I'm trusting the system that she will come around and do better without them, they are old enough to be away from her, and she won't have to be so protective. I know its easy to look at this situation with hate, but unless you are on the inside, it's not easy.

We lost Turner last night and Gentileschi yesterday. 🌈 Please spay and neuter, please stop breeding. I don't know how else to stop this. I can only shed so many tears as I type these posts. I say that but they just keep flowing anyways, where are they all coming from? It doesn't stop.

😔 Another dog needing urgent foster!
This is Teagan, she is a sweet girl just trying to get through this rough life and find a family. Jordy, the dog posted last night is her buddy, there is a photo of them together.
Here is her story.

"My name is Teagan, how I ended up at the shelter with my 7 puppies was a pretty typical everyday Oklahoma thing. My owner moved off and left me chained to the porch, my babies could get under the porch but I was stuck in the hot sun day after day. Animal control came and took us all to jail. I was really worried about my babies surviving in that situation they didn’t understand we only had one bucket of water to last us a day and they kept knocking it over. But luckily a rescue stepped up for my 7 babies but unfortunately there wasn’t room for me to go with them at that time. I was just glad my babies were safe but now I worried what would happen to me, it seemed like the jail kept filling up with more dogs like me and they kept talking about making hard decisions for room. Luckily someone came back for me this weekend and now Im getting to enjoy the puppy free life. Im good in a crate and haven’t hardly made a peep yet. Today is spay day. I weighed a whopping 38 lb but should probably be closer to 45lbs (I lost a lot of weight feeding my babies at the pound!) I have met several dog friends both girl and boys and I have enjoyed their company. My energy level is pretty medium right now but that may change once I get back to a normal weight."

🐶 This beautiful pup is Hatchi, he was saved because a foster stepped up to save his life as he approached euthanasia. He entered the shelter as a baby, was adopted, then returned for escaping a fence when unattended. Don't worry, I'm shaking my head with you.

🐶 Lucky and Almond still have had no applications 😢

🌟 Lucky is only 10 months old, came to us as a tiny pup, was adopted then returned, no fault of his own. He came back full of anxiety and fear.
He's come a long way and has settled down. He is great in his kennel, loves other dogs and should go to a home with another adult or puppy, or Almond 😉 who he is already bestie with. He's also been around kids and done great!! He is a medium sized dog weighing around 35 pounds.

🌟 Almond also came to us as a tiny pup, she has never had an application, and is 4 months old. She does great in her kennel and is doing well with potty training. Loves other dogs and kids! She likes being held and snuggled. Her breed is unknown and she is expected to be a large dog. She loves water!!!

🌞 This Sunday, June 30th! We have to make a 10-12 hour round trip drive to pick up 8-10 dogs! Volunteer drivers have been so short lately that we decided it's just best to guarantee they have a ride and go pick up these innocent dogs ourselves. ❤️ Stormy has been with us since early March and has unfortunately had no interest 😞

He's such a good boy and loves all the humans he meets! Especially the young ones 😃 Kids are his absolute favorite. You know that childhood dog that just never left your side as a kid and grew up with you? Well we're hoping that can be Stormy, and he's really hoping so too. He also LOVES other dogs and plays well. No cats for this guy.

He is very potty trained, fully vetted and is only 1.5 year old. He has a docked tail from severe happy tail and it suits him well! He was set to be euthanized for space and a foster saved his life. He's been to public events, done great and he's just waiting for his family to take him 🏡

❤️ So many wonderful people donated to help Loco, who is now named Luca!! I wanted to give a little update and video of him just walking through the yard. He is so good on a leash!

He is very underweight and he's on a strict feeding regimen to help him slowly get healthy, he does great in his kennel!! Luca is great with kids, he insisted on sitting between them in the car today. He would not simply be a dog tethered in the back 😂 (photo in the comments) he rides very well in the car otherwise, He just loves attention and ALL people. He really is a treasure who deserves a 🏡

We're taking everything else slow because of his Heartworm, but we can't wait until he has a family!
