Fingers trimming behind the ears hair BEFORE/AFTER ✅

🟪 5-7 minutes per one ear.

🟪 Result: extra thin and fluffy hairs totally removed => it will take them some time to grow back => longer effect compared to the scissors trimming only.

A lot of video lessons with different Aussies. The techniques are different from module 6 and much more nuances about getting breed silhouette.

Module 6. Here we start trimming ✂️ pet and hygiene. This is the last module for “Groomer” study plan.

Lessons are getting bigger and consist of many videos with different dogs.

Students start to have busy weekends because most of them did the practice during the weekend days.

I want to input a new methodology. We tested it a bit and it has shown great results. So that practice gets easier.

My first show grooming experience 😁 in 2007

It was our first CACIB show with Queeny in Junior class.

I knew I screwed up 😎 especially with the ears… but knowing mistakes is a great opportunity to upgrade the skills and get better result.

One of the first secrets I got from my friend who had successful show golden retriever is “shorter hair gives more volume”

I had to interpret it for Aussie later. Now I have better collection of optical effects in show grooming 🤗

But I love to remember those times when I just started to learn.

What else do you see?

Our goal is to educate more and more Aussie people and groomers who gained their experience in standard breeds (like poodles, yourkies, spitz etc.) because each breed is unique! And Aussies are unique even with a big variety of coat appearences within the breed.

Aussie grooming should be in balance with the dog, natural, with understanding of breed standard and grooming purposes 🙌🙌🙌

🐾 SHAVING PAWS - why?

✅ The main reason I shave the paws on my Aussies is that they carry much less dirt from the street to home. Shaved feet are much faster and easier to clean.
⠀
✅ Dog’s feet often come into contact with moisture, and if not 100% dry every time, the wet coat is an excellent enviroment for reproduction of bacteria, resulting in pink hair between the toes.
⠀
✅ Also, shaved paws are more aesthetically pleasing.
⠀
When is it better to refrain from shaving dog’s paws?
⠀
❎ For example, in a frosty winter time hair on the paws protect them from the cold and, of course, from chemicals, if your dog walks where they are scattered. But only shoes will save 100% from reagents.
⠀
❎ Or in hot summer time hair will protect the paws from burns if the dog walks on hot asphalt or sand.
⠀
The paws can be shaved with a trimmer or cut with scissors ✂️

What is GROOMING?

In fact, this is any care for a dog's coat, as well as hygiene procedures:

When you brush your dog, you make grooming.
When you bathe your dog, that's grooming too.
⠀
Every dog ​​owner does grooming, there is no way without it. But, in addition to the standard household procedures for washing, drying and combing / brushing dog hair, each owner can expand their skills:

- Express shedding procedures
- Shaving paws
- Pet grooming/trimming (with scissors and other tools) for a neat look
- Hygienic grooming/trimming to ease care
- Grooming/trimming before the show
- Show grooming before the ring

I love the Aussies for their coat 🥰 among other qualities

Dog coat was an important factor for me when choosing a breed. The first, of course, is character, health, then size, appearance. Well, and their coat.
⠀
❤️I LOVE medium length double coat. It’s quite easy to care for, but at the same time, the dog is soft and fluffy.
⠀
❤️Touching Aussie’s coat is a thrill! You can run your fingers into it, it is soft, it is pleasant to touch. Especially after grooming, it's an additional pleasure! With the help of cosmetics, you can prolong this effect of a clean, pleasant to the touch coat.
⠀
❤️Their fur coat, together with the dog, is a great heating pad! 🔥When it is cold in the house, you can simply hug this fur coat, or sit next to them, and receive their warmth.
⠀
❤️Aussie’s coat looks very effective in the show rings. Their coat is one of the important criteria that make our breed «Best In Show». Well, no one has denied the admiration and endless aesthetic pleasure at home, looking at the well-groomed Aussie.

❤️I also like the ease of grooming. Yes, you have to survive the shedding period. But otherwise, supportive grooming is quite simple, you just need to choose cosmetics and tools, teach the dog to the procedures and learn how to perform these procedures yourself.

I know that there are lovers of smooth and short coats who will never own Aussies, fearing the difficulties of grooming, which, in fact, do not really exist 🙂 Or not so scary as it may seem. And what kind of coat do you like and why?

❤️ What does a beautiful coat consist of?

1️⃣The first is GENETICS.
⠀
We all love a straight, medium length coat with good volume. Such coat always looks great even without grooming.
⠀
So, only genetics determines the length of the coat. This parameter cannot be changed either by grooming, or by nutrition, or by enviroment. Even with a small puppy, you can see how long the coat and feathering will be.
⠀
Genetics determines whether the coat is straight or wavy. Moreover, the same genes that determine hair waviness can give a different degree of waviness - from well pronounced to almost straight.
⠀
Unlike hair length, waves can be straightened by grooming.
⠀
Genetics also determines the texture of the coat, although with the cosmetics, it can be toughened or softened if necessary.
⠀
The volume of the coat (guard hair) is also genetics, but the undercoat depends on enviroment and the climate. For example, a dog living outside will have a very full undercoat, while a domestic dog will have constant shedding in small amounts.
⠀
2️⃣The second is HEALTH. The beauty of the coat comes from the inside: well moisturized, shiny and strong.
⠀
Health comes from nutrition and lifestyle. It is important that the dog eats quality food, as well as has an active lifestyle (especially Aussies), and is free from constant stress.
⠀
3️⃣Well, the third is proper hair CARE and proper grooming. If everything is fine on the first two points, then the third one will be quite simple. And vice versa.

What is TripleGroom? What does it mean?

Well, when I was thinking about my online grooming training «name» one of my followers wrote suggestion «Triplemoon grooming». I just looked at those two words and saw that the second word wants to replace the «moon» part… TripleGroom was just perfect!
⠀
Triplemoon is my kennel name, and many Aussie people know me as a breeder, so this training name would be associated with my person 💁‍♀️
⠀
BUT it also perfectly fits my grooming program 🔥
⠀
🛁 First is the BASE. Grooming in everyday life, between the shows, making coat healthy and well conditioned, taking care about nails and teeth of the dog. It’s about pet grooming as well.

✂️ Second is grooming and trimming before the show, when we get dog to the «show standard».
⠀
🏆 Third is grooming at the dog show ground, making wow-effect with or without show cosmetics.
