As we step into a fresh year, we’re focusing on growth—both above and below the surface. At Fox Point Farms, our New Year, New Roots initiative is all about strengthening connections to the land, building healthier ecosystems, and fostering a deeper sense of sustainability. And what better way to start than by turning waste into nourishment for the Earth? 🌎
Ready to dig in? Let’s break it down:
🗑️ Compost – Toss plant-based items like coffee cups, lids, napkins, and food scraps here. They’re designed to break down naturally.
♻️ Recycling – Use this bin for clean cardboard, aluminum, glass, and plastics. Remember—a quick rinse keeps recyclables ready for reuse!
🚫 Landfill – For non-compostable, non-recyclable items. Let’s aim to keep this bin as empty as possible to reduce waste.
Pro Tip: When in doubt, compost first! 💚 Small steps make a big impact, and every choice counts toward a healthier planet.

🌱 Why We Farm Together 🌱 At Fox Point Farms, our mission goes beyond just growing produce. Each experience on the farm—whether it’s a guided tour, community workshop, a u-pick harvest, or our CSA program—exists to bring people closer to the land, to each other, and to the process that sustains us all.
We believe that farming is a powerful teacher. Getting your hands in the soil, seeing firsthand how food is grown, and learning about the rhythms of nature build a deep, lasting respect for the earth. When you harvest your own vegetables or choose produce directly from the farm, you experience the joy of knowing exactly where your food comes from and the care that goes into it.
Each of our offerings aims to inspire a love for regenerative farming and an understanding of how connected we all are to the health of our land. By inviting our community to walk our fields, taste fresh-picked produce, and share in the harvest, we hope to nurture a generation that cares for the earth as we do—seeing not just the food on our plates but the ecosystem that supports it.
This journey, from soil to table, is one that grounds us all. And we’re here to share it with you, inviting everyone to reconnect with nature, savor the simplicity of fresh food, and become part of a community rooted in care and respect for the earth. 🌍💚

Happy Farmstand Friday! Today, Chef de Cuisine Kelston Moore takes us on a journey to explore the inspiration behind the food at Haven Farm + Table.
Chef Kelston Moore’s culinary journey began in childhood, watching his grandmother prepare Caribbean and Barbados-inspired dishes. Sundays were especially meaningful, coming home from church to enjoy a family meal that brought everyone together. His father, too, was a major influence— cooking for neighbors and feeding the local community with fresh produce from their garden. Kelston reflects on the balance between staying true to his Barbadian roots and embracing the evolving culinary trends.
Through a unique partnership between farmer and chef, Kelston crafts dishes that celebrate our farm's bounty and honor the dedication of those who grow our food. For him, sharing food with loved ones is a deeply cherished act, one filled with memories and conversations he hopes each guest at Haven takes with them. His passion is unmistakable in every bite, creating an experience that lingers long after the meal ends—leaving a connection to both the food and the people who make it possible.
