All morning, dedicated supporters like you have helped bring the global movement to Baypath. With your help, we hope to raise $30,000 by the close of today for the Lilly & Orchid Extraordinary Medical Fund, which ensures our most vulnerable cats and dogs receive top-notch veterinary care. 

Through 11:59 PM tonight, all gifts up to a total of $10,000 will be matched, thanks to an incredible matching gift challenge offered by a generous donor for the sixth consecutive year! 

This means your generosity will go even further, helping more deserving animals overcome significant health challenges on the way to their forever homes. Sweet Pea, one such young cat, is currently living her best life in a loving home thanks to our Extraordinary Medical Fund.

Will you help animals in need like Sweet Pea by making a gift today? 

Arriving at the shelter as a local surrender, petite one-year-old Sweet Pea required immediate medical attention for several open neck wounds. Determining the lesions were due to an untreated skin infection and mites, our shelter veterinarian developed a comprehensive treatment plan that included multiple courses of antibiotics, various oral medications and steroid injections. 

Nutritional support was also vital for this beautiful long-haired gray and white kitten, after initially requiring syringe feedings. Despite her rough start, Sweet Pea received the time, care and attention she needed to heal thanks to the Lilly & Orchid Extraordinary Medical Fund. 

Not long after regaining her strength and being made available for adoption, Sweet Pea found her perfect family!

Thanks to your support this , we look forward to helping more dogs and cats like Sweet Pea find hope and healing. Your contribution makes an incredible impact not only for animals in need, but also for the people who love them.

Today is ! We believe strongly that each animal we serve deserves not only love and compassion, but creative enrichment, innovative adoption services and most essentially, outstanding medical care.

That is why Baypath designates every dollar raised on to our Lilly & Orchid Extraordinary Medical Fund. Today, your gift will be matched up to a total of $10,000, thanks to an incredible anonymous donor offering a matching gift challenge!

Beautiful pitbull mix Leia benefitted from our Extraordinary Medical Fund this past year. After being picked up several times by animal control officers in Florida, this sweet senior made her way to Baypath after her initial ailments were treated by one of our dedicated Southern rescue partners.

Upon arrival, shelter staff noticed her unusual gait due to a significant limp in her right front leg and stiffness in both of her back legs, leading our veterinarian to request X-rays. Because of your generosity, we were able to refer Leia to an orthopedic specialist, who diagnosed and treated her extremity concerns.

This adorable ray of Florida sunshine also desperately needed comprehensive dental treatment, care for an aural hematoma, removal of a neck mass and antibiotics for a severe urinary tract infection. Due to kind supporters like you, we were able to care for Leia’s myriad health concerns and put her on the path to healing.

will be here next week, and we are excited to share that, for the 6th consecutive year, a special donor has offered to match all gifts received up to a total of $10,000 - starting today! The global movement has been successful for Baypath thanks to loyal supporters like you, who help us raise funds for our Lilly & Orchid Extraordinary Medical Fund.

Last year, thanks to your compassionate contributions and our generous matching donor, we raised over $50,000, allowing us to provide exceptional medical care to each dog and cat in our care.

One such dog, friendly senior Dizzy, came to Baypath as a stray suffering from severe dental issues and heart disease. Because of our Lilly & Orchid Extraordinary Medical Fund, we were able to coordinate an echocardiogram, dental cleaning and neuter surgery with two of our beloved veterinary partners, Sterling Animal Clinic and Second Chance Animal Services.

Now part of an amazing new family, Dizzy is the apple of his adopters’ eyes:

"Our little Dizzy is the most affectionate dog we’ve ever had. Despite his heart issues, he is very active - one would never know he has a problem! He willingly takes his meds twice a day; just a little piece of hotdog and down it goes! He has been a joy to us."
