March 12, 2023

The moment that changed our lives forever. March 12, 2024 marks the 1 year anniversary of Jonathon’s accident. After suffering a traumatic head injury that nearly killed him, the past year has thrown every possible challenge our way, and while we would love to say we are on the other side of it, we are adapting to what we are considering our “new normal.”

The only reason we made it this far was because of the people in our corner fighting with us each step of the way. We would like to thank the instrumental individuals who gave up everything so that we could go on together.

Thank you

Chris Soleau for being there for Kelly and Jonathon in every possible way she could be. Chris has been the rock of the family and is the ultimate support system for the entire team making sure everyone is taken care of.

Cayden Hill for keeping our business and livelihood, Millar Brooke South alive. Without Cayden we would have had nothing to return to. Cayden oversaw our entire operation with the help of a great team and we could not be more grateful for the sacrifices he made.

Catherine McLaughlin for moving to Atlanta to be a much needed support system for Kelly while Jonathon was at the Shepherd Center and for keeping everything running smoothly up in Canada.

Rachel Wilks for taking over Jonathon’s day to day care in Wellington so that Kelly is able to ride and train. From the beginning of the day to the end, Rachel is with Jonathon every step of the way.

Our incredible clients for sticking by us and being patient while we figured out how to move forward in this new capacity. We wouldn’t have MBS without you and for that we thank you.

Everyone who has donated to the Go Fund Me. Without these funds, Jonathon would not have been able to receive the care that he did.

Our close friends who spent countless hours and nights, taking shifts in the hospital watching over Jonathon and making sure Kelly was taken care of.

There are so many people who are not aware of how far their help went and truly without your support we would never have made it through this year.
