Pony wrangling is a full-time job
Our youngest (and potentially hardest-working student) Dakota, takes care of all three ponies here at Millar Brooke South.
With hopes of qualifying for Pony Finals later this fall, Dakota makes sure that all three ponies, Peter, Tully, and Winnie are looking their best.
Dakota shows Lost Boy “Peter” and Holy Smokes “Tully” in the Medium Green Pony divisions and in the Pony Medal classes.
While Peter and Tully show, our pride and joy, Winnie gets to have all the fun as our at-home hacker.
We love her so much that Dakota keeps a heart clipped on her hip at all times.
Our Kare-Pro cordless clippers are perfect for quick clips and fun designs like Winnie’s heart.

M. Michael Meller’s Fire Fly and Kelly Soleau-Millar placed 2nd in the 1.35m jumpers on Wednesday to kick off their week at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show 👏
April is for quiet time with the horses 🖤
After a busy winter season, nothing feels better than spending some quality down time with our horses as they take their vacation! We are all officially moved up to Kentucky for the spring and summer and are enjoying a bit of a slower pace before spring shows ramp up.
Spring in Kentucky is one of our favorite times of year. Coming from Florida where it is hot every day, the horses and the staff all love the lower temps in Lexington.
Time to break out the sweaters for people and ponies!
Kelly’s go-to sweater is the cashmere crewneck from @blueberryhill_boutique

Girls just wanna go fast 💕
Millar Brooke South kicked off our 2024 WEF season donned in full out pink, light up glitter for the Battle of the Sexes class!
Kelly Soleau-Millar and Farmers Proud HS laid down three speedy rounds for the girls team. Though the ladies may not have won the class, “Farmy” was a true MVP laying down one of the speediest rounds of the night, winning her head to head face off against a member of the boys team 👏
Thanks @rnwilks for lending us your incredible mare for the night! Farmy is currently for sale. For more information please contact [email protected]
Humans aren’t the only picky eaters…
At Millar Brooke South, we take a unique approach to our horse’s diets and keep everything natural. That means no processed feed for our competition horses, a forage-based diet, and GOOD QUALITY HAY!
After years of experimenting, we feel like we have found our winning recipe with this approach. Millar Brooke South spends a considerable amount of time on the road traveling from show to show, and with different hay available at each competition, our Haygain Hay Steamers ensure that our horses maintain consistency in their diet.
Not only do the @haygainusa Hay Steamers eliminate any dust or bacteria, but they also make the hay way more appetizing for our horses, and clearly Shadow can’t get enough of it!
No matter where we are or what we are doing, we don’t go anywhere without our Haygain hay steamers and foragers.
