Newest update on Mr. Frodo before we get to introducing Ella Bella. We have been working with Frodo since he came home on flying. He is a macaw that as far as i know has not flown. A macaw that does not fly just seems wrong especially one as healthy as Frodo. Well yesterday he flew! lifted himself up off my arm and flew to the couch. Four times in a row! then he was done. Today he did it again! we even went further back and at an angle and he flew and turned to land on his preferred part of the couch. Each time he lands there. It is amazing to watch. We are so much closer than we have ever been! It makes me so happy to see this massive progress after so many years. He finally made the choice that he could do this and while it was scary it could be amazing (the pine nuts defiantly helped as a reward). Make way for the flying teenage macaw (dear lord what did we get into lol).
