Meet Willow – Your Future Best Friend!
Willow is a super sweet, affectionate fluffball who’s looking for a forever home! This adorable puppy loves other creatures—dogs, kids, and especially cats! She’s a patient, easy-going girl who enjoys sitting back and observing the world around her, just as much as she loves a good play session. But her absolute favourite activity? Snuggle time!

Well-mannered and gentle, Willow doesn’t jump up unbidden—she’s got great manners! Her crate is her happy place, and she sleeps soundly in there all night, feeling safe and secure.

Willow’s house training is progressing beautifully, and though she’s still working on her leash skills, she’s making great strides! With a little time and patience, she’ll be walking like a pro.

Willow would thrive in a loving family that can give her the time and attention she deserves.

Coyote mating season, typically occurring between January and March, can lead to increased coyote activity near you. Do not fret, but be smart. To ensure safety during this time, it's crucial to take a few precautions. First, keep your pets closely supervised and leashed especially during dawn and dusk when coyotes are most active. Secure your trash bins and avoid leaving pet food outside to minimize attractions. If you encounter a coyote, make yourself appear larger by waving your arms, make loud noises, and maintain eye contact to discourage it from approaching. Never a bad idea to walk with a stick or air canister spray to deter. Additionally, educate yourself and your community about coyote behavior, and report any aggressive or unusual activity to local wildlife authorities. By taking these steps, you can help ensure the safety of both humans and animals during coyote mating season.

Always keep your pets leashed, and consider a martingale style of lead so they can’t slip out. Cats should remain indoors.

This little explorer is great with other dogs. He hasn’t met any cats or kids yet, but he’s eager to find out!

As New Year’s Eve arrives we’d like to reflect and recap on what an incredible 2024 we had here at PSDR!

From our beyond dedicated foster families, and our loyal volunteers. The amazing support we have received from the community both in person and online.

Together with your help, our team was able to match 38 dogs with their forever families this year.

38 lives that were changed and families that grew. We can happily report that each one of those dogs are thriving beyond measure!

As 2024 comes to an end, we wish you all a safe and healthy New Year and hope that 2025 brings you all lots of puppy kisses and cuddles!
