The PSDR team would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated to or shared our bottle drive fundraiser. With your support we were able to raise $712.80 that will be used to support the care, vet & kennel costs of our foster dogs!

We’d like to give a huge thank you to for donating the empties from their hockey tournament dance to support the rescue.

She's a total TV watcher (you’ve got to see it to believe it!), loves to run and play, and is all about soaking up the sun on her lounger.

Callie’s easy-going nature and amazing temperament make her a dream companion. She’s food motivated, knows “sit” and “leave it,” and is working on “wait.” Plus, she respects space when others are eating and doesn’t even try to steal from the kids. And toys? She’s all in—if it fits in her mouth, it’s fair game!

While she’s still perfecting her leash walking (she tends to pull), her recall in the yard is spot-on. She’s the ultimate cuddle bug—whether with humans or other dogs, she’s happy to snuggle with anyone.

Coyote mating season, typically occurring between January and March, can lead to increased coyote activity near you. Do not fret, but be smart. To ensure safety during this time, it's crucial to take a few precautions. First, keep your pets closely supervised and leashed especially during dawn and dusk when coyotes are most active. Secure your trash bins and avoid leaving pet food outside to minimize attractions. If you encounter a coyote, make yourself appear larger by waving your arms, make loud noises, and maintain eye contact to discourage it from approaching. Never a bad idea to walk with a stick or air canister spray to deter. Additionally, educate yourself and your community about coyote behavior, and report any aggressive or unusual activity to local wildlife authorities. By taking these steps, you can help ensure the safety of both humans and animals during coyote mating season.

Always keep your pets leashed, and consider a martingale style of lead so they can’t slip out. Cats should remain indoors.
