I consider myself really lucky that the rehab caravan is still totally intact and the only inconvenience we had was a day and a half without water and electricity and two fallen scots pines preventing us from leaving the premises. Thank you so much to Mayo County Council for removing the trees so quickly.

Finally got to release a Brown Long-eared bat yesterday evening in Westport. She was bouncing up and down in her cage when I arrived at the release spot. She flew away into the night as soon as the lid was lifted. The weather has been so terrible that I have had to hold on to bats far longer than is ideal.

Thanks to a perfect window of opportunity weatherwise, 3 bats were released on Saturday night back where they were found and another 3 were released likewise on Sunday evening. Good result all round. 🦇🦇🦇💜💜💜🦇🦇🦇
