We’ve officially entered newborn mode over here — alarms set every 2 hours for feeding, burping, pooping, and peeing. The tiny duo who arrived yesterday have kept us busy, but wow… they are worth every sleepless minute.

This evening we swung by our favorite vet clinic to get these babies checked out and make sure we’re doing everything possible to keep them healthy, happy, and thriving. Even though their names aren’t officially decided, we’ve already started calling them Miss Piggy (because homegirl LOVES to eat) and either Little Nugget or Kermit — he’s teeny tiny and insists on being glued to his sister’s side at all times.

Miss Piggy weighed in at 180 grams, and little Kermit is holding strong at 160 grams. Both babies are healthy, strong, and absolute survivors with a will to live like no other. Based on their size at just 4 days old, we’re thinking they’ll grow into small(er) breed pups.

Oh — and after everything that’s happened, we’ve decided their original “foster” is officially their baby daddy. He has promised not to be a deadbeat and to fully commit to his new parental role.

We’ll continue monitoring their growth with weigh-ins before and after feedings. Stay tuned… these two are just getting started. 🍼💗

Two tiny newborn puppies… just days old. 💔
Found abandoned, all alone, cold, hungry, and fighting to survive.

Thankfully, a fellow rescuer rushed in to save them and has been working around the clock to keep these fragile little lives safe. And when we saw his TikTok post, we didn’t even hesitate — we reached out immediately and knew we had to help. ❤️

Today, these precious itty bitty babies will be making a long journey from Amarillo all the way to us, just outside of San Antonio. A brand new chapter begins for them, and we are so grateful to be part of their story.

UPDATE - THESE BABIES HAVE BEEN SPOKEN FOR!!

💔🐾 The Last Two Left Behind… 🐾💔

All of their brothers and sisters have been adopted.
Now it’s just Boomer and Lucille, waiting — watching — hoping their turn is next.

🩵 Boomer - (Scruffy, white/tan/brown) was found abandoned in a field — cold, wet, and terrified. But this little fighter never gave up. Today, he’s all love, tail wags, and kisses. He’s playful, loyal, and just wants to be someone’s “good boy” forever.

🩷 Lucille – (White with Cream ears) our sweet Laid-Back Lady – was born on the streets and raised by her mama. She’s known struggle, but she’s discovering what it means to be safe, warm, and loved. Soft-natured, gentle, and happiest in your arms.

They’ve come so far, and all they need now is a family.
Let’s make sure these two don’t get overlooked — they’ve waited long enough.

1st meal
🍲💚 THEIR FIRST MEAL. THEIR FIRST DAY SAFE. 💚🍲

Just 24 hours ago, these dogs were trapped in filthy crates — starving, weak, and forgotten in an abandoned house.

Today because of one of our amazing volunteers and all of YOU who stepped up, they are safe, warm, and finally eating again. 🕊️

And they have names!
Bluey - speckled female
Lola - white female
Sandy - ran female

They are now receiving medical exams, and gentle care from our volunteer team. It will take time, nutrition, and love to bring them back from the edge — but we’re committed to seeing them through.

Their ribs still show, their eyes still carry fear — but for the first time in who knows how long, they have full bellies, soft blankets, and gentle hands caring for them.

Each tiny bite, each wag of a tail, is a reminder of why we do this. They’re learning that love still exists. 💔➡️💚

We have a long road ahead — vet care, nutrition, healing, and trust-building — but today is a victory. And it’s only possible because of YOU. 🙏

🚨 EMERGENCY RESCUE – ABANDONED & STARVING DOGS 🚨

We just got an urgent call from an officer and ACO in a small town in the valley of South Texas. They discovered a deserted home — no water, no power, a fallen-in roof — and inside were the heartbreaking cries of dogs left behind. 💔

What they found was unimaginable…
At least 5 dogs, locked in filthy crates, severely emaciated, and fighting to stay alive.
One was so desperate it was drinking its own urine.

These poor souls have been left to die — but they’re still here, still standing, still hoping someone will help. And that someone is us.

We need your help right now to get them to safety, provide emergency vet care, fluids, and nutrition.

This picture truly captures what animal rescue is all about for our family. ❤️

Bringing these little ones into our home has been such a profound experience, especially for my children.

​It's more than just cute puppy cuddles (though we get plenty of those!). Through fostering, they're learning firsthand about the world of animal rescue – the incredible responsibilities, the immense rewards of providing comfort and care, and even the moments of sadness that come with saying goodbye and seeing them off to their forever homes.

​Every wagging tail and happy bark is a reminder of the impact we can have. It's teaching them empathy, patience, and the importance of giving a voice to those who can't speak for themselves. This journey is shaping them in ways I never imagined.

✨ Meet the Beauties & Beasts ✨

Claudette, Chip, Belle, and Laurette are itty bitty Dachshund/Terrier mix pups who had a ruff start to life. They came from a home with waaay too many dogs and not nearly enough love or care. But lucky for them (and us!), we got the call and swooped in to give them their happily-ever-after beginning.

Now these four little nuggets are safe, spoiled, and learning what toys, treats, and belly rubs are all about. They’re not quite ready to leave the nest just yet, but we’re already taking pre-adoption applications so they can bounce straight into their forever families when the time comes.

💖 Claudette – “I’m the snuggle champion. My hobbies include cuddling, being carried around like the royalty I am, and melting hearts with one look. Don’t even try to resist me—it won’t work.”

🐾 Chip – “Class clown reporting for duty! I’m the goofy brother who finds fun in everything. Toys? Amazing. Shoelaces? Even better. Life? One big game. You’ll never be bored with me around!”

🌸 Belle – “Hi, yes, I am the princess of this castle. I require soft blankies, gentle kisses, and daily admiration of my cuteness. In return, I’ll shower you with more love than you ever thought possible.”

✨ Laurette – “Small but mighty, that’s me! I’m brave, bold, and ready for adventure… until I crash and fall asleep in your lap. Basically, I’m the best of both worlds: fun AND snuggles.”

These babies have turned their tough past into bright, wiggly futures. One of them just might be your happily-ever-after! 🐾💞
