Good afternoon from Anuka and me!

It is with a heavy heart that we share that no puppies were conceived during our date last month.

At this time, we will be taking a small break from social media and will be back NEXT winter as we prep for another attempt at puppies. At that time, we will get back into our routine of sharing about the breed and our process of finding a new stud and working towards our goal of sharing the love of Bouviers!

Please keep an eye on our website for updates between now and then, and we, of course, will share here if/when things change.

Happy International Pooper Scooper Week!!!!

With winter thaw comes a solid p**per scooper workout! And while we know as a dog owner, it's by far one of the worst parts, making sure that they have solid, easy-to-clean-up p**ps can be easy with the right dog food!

We love, love, LOVE this awesome cargo liner. Not only is it just great for covering seats, it also fills the gap between the front seats and the back seats when the seats are folded down. This way she can sit right up behind me and not fall through to the floor when we hit a bump or the breaks! There is also a divider for between the front seats to keep your pooches in the back, a handy storage pocket and cup holder, AND it folds in on the sides to accommodate surprise passengers.

While they were originally used for general farm work including cattle droving, sheep herding, and cart pulling, nowadays they are more commonly used as guard dogs and police dogs, as well as being kept as pets.

For National Dog Biscuit Day I thought we would share a fun recipe for you to whip up for your favorite pup featuring tasty peanut butter!

Peanut butter is great in moderation! It can be an excellent source of protein and healthy fats, vitamins B and E, and niacin.

Use your favorite cookie cutter and whip up some tasty treats for your favorite doggo! Share a picture if you make some!

Winter time doesn't always mean a break from bath time.

Where we live in Central Montana, the weather changes - a lot - sometimes multiple times in a day. We could wake up to inches of snow to have it gone later that day. And, that means mud, and wet, and dirt, and ick. And while we do our best to stay clean, sometimes it means a bath.

I use this in my bathtub for the occasional inside baths during the winter. She likes outside baths when the weather is right, but in the winter she enjoys the warm water and her favorite part is the hair blow dryer!

Alright friends - I am going to share with you my FAVORITE dog food for Anuka. This is a brand that I believe in SO much, I am actually a Field Rep!

I love this dog food because even though the initial cost per bag may seem a little higher, I find that I end up spending less because the Anuka tends to eat and p**p less overall. This is because the food is so high quality that it's actually getting digested and processed through her as opposed to a bunch of fillers.

Also - with a large breed dog it is usually necessary to have to read through all the labels to make sure you are getting the proper protein to fat ratio so their joints and bones develop correctly. With this food, the adult and the puppy version are safe for large breed developing dogs.

Bouviers thrive when given plenty of room to work and exercise. Like we had shared earlier this month - they LOVE to have a job to do. In fact, Anuka needs a walk or time in the pasture with cattle and horses most days, but she can and does have her occasional down days where she can be found on the couch and by the fire.
