Owning a puppy is like having a child, it take a lot of responsibilities and you should only adopt a puppy when you’re ready. There are 2 things people should consider before getting a puppy:
1. You need to be financially ready 💵
Owning a puppy is expensive. Besides foods and necessities, you need to be ready for vet bill in case your dog get sick. Vet bill can cary between hundred to thousand dollars depending on your puppy’s health. That’s why it is extremely important to get your puppy from trusted breeder or kennel only.
2. You need to be ready to make an average of 10-15 years commitment ⏳
The moment you adopt a puppy into your family, the puppy see you as a parent. Even though dogs can’t speak but they do have a strong emotional connection with their human. Imagine yourself as a child and being given away by your parent to the shelter because one day they realize they were not mentally ready for you to be in this world. That’s how every dog feel when they being dropped off at a shelter.
