Ella's hip dysplasia story has continued with my poor little puppy receiving surgery yesterday.
Unfortunately her hips were too small to be viable for a total hip replacement so we ended up having a Femoral hip and neck excision which doesn't have the same outcomes but will still improve her quality of life.
This does mean lots of physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and a long road back but it's a start of something better for the puppy girl.
Thank you everyone with your support and a big thank you to mum and Gerard for their continued assistance and doggy day care services ❤️

Today is Ella's 1st Gotcha day! What a year it has been with my beautiful girl!
While it hasn't been the easiest year with dysplasia and destruction (so many shoes and wicker baskets). I can't imagine my life without my amazing girl! We've both learnt so much and she's been able to support me already. It's been such a wonderful journey.
We've met so many people in our pursuit for justice and support for dogs who have Hip Dysplasia and we are so grateful for all those who have shared their stories, experiences and support.
Next month we're looking to have her surgery on her left hip and we can't thank you all enough. We are still a long way from our GoFundMe goal but the sooner we act the better the outcome it is for Ella.
Ella had a big day with The Courier! Keep an eye out for our article!!! ❤️❤️❤️
We're nearing D-Day with the surgery looming and another Vet appointment on the 8th of August it was so wonderful to have the Ballarat Courier come and talk to us and hear our story.
