We pull so many who come with a myriad of problems. ( Look at first picture.) These problems are never self inflicted, but human inflicted. Back in early December, we pulled Nya from the Memphis Shelter. Nya was a shell of a dog. She was skin and bones, her coat was brittle and falling out; she was heart worm positive, not fixed, eaten up with parasites, and had clearly had a hellacious existence.

Slowly we tackled each problem whittling away at the tragedy neglect had caused.,

Today, Nya is physically healthy. She is now heartworm
negative, spayed, parasite free, and has a soft healthy coat, but our work is still not done. Nya is presently getting daily training. It takes so much time to undo damaged little souls. Hurts my heart knowing had she been placed selectively to begin with none of this would have happened. I know I get redundant, but it can’t be said enough, “It’s not about an available home; it’s about an exceptional home.”

Nya, we promise we will settle for nothing less when you are ready for adoption. On a sad side note, her siblings left the shelter in body bags. As much as Nya has endured, she was the lucky one.

Tiggs the tank is a sweet boy who will come waddling over for all attention. Tiggs loves all humans, even the little ones! Bound to coming up to you as soon as he sees you enter the room for some much needed pets. Just like his sister Peeka, he loves a good brushing and will roll over so you can get his good side (his belly). Due to his size, he’s not particularly agile- which is a good thing he does ok with being picked up to be apart of higher ground. His last weight at the vet was 20 lbs. This calm boy enjoys spending his days lounging around in his various beds and receiving scratches from anyone who passes. Once he fully comes out of his shell, you won’t be able to forgo his cuddles and even his secret playful side. Tiggs enjoys wet food, and let’s be honest- all food, although it may take him some time to show you what he’s capable of. Tiggs would likely do best in a home without other animals, or with an older animal who doesn’t mind a big boy such as himself & his sister Peeka. Welcome Tiggs into your home with his sister Peeka for 2 of the friendliest fur babies you could ever meet! Peeka raised Tiggs since he was a kitten.

Tiggs and Peeka are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Meet Ladybug!



Ladybug may be the smallest of her siblings, but she has the biggest personality! This playful little pup is full of fun and energy, always ready for an adventure before curling up in your lap for a cozy nap. She loves to eat, is making great progress with her potty training, and has even been sleeping through the night with no accidents.



Ladybug gets chilly easily, but a little snuggle time warms her right up. good thing she absolutely loves to cuddle! She’s wonderful with other dogs and children and would make an incredible addition to a loving family. If you’re re looking for a sweet, spunky, and affectionate companion, Ladybug is the perfect pup for you!

His name is Ozzy… He had been a house dog, but his owner passed away and he ended up chained at a barn. Lucky for him, he is now a Proverbs’ boy. He was so matted he had to be shaved completely down. Under all that hair, he was very thin. Once he gains some weight, he will be neutered and up for adoption. He is an Aussie Doodle..about three years old, and oh so sweet. The only way we could take him was to board him.. He needs a foster and an adopter as soon as he is fixed. I am sure he is so confused.

Meet Lollipop!



Lollipop is the sweetest little pup with the perfect balance of playfulness and calm. She loves to zoom around, but when she’s s done, it’s nap time! The most relaxed of her siblings, Lolly doesn’t mind sneaking away for a quiet snooze while the others keep playing.



She’s already showing how smart she knows her name, is doing great with potty training, and sleeps through the night with no accidents. Her love for food has helped with training, making her an eager learner.



Lollipop will be a wonderful, loving addition to any family, bringing plenty of snuggles, joy, and sweet moments!

Lenny is the sweetest lil boy. He is very playful and has an innocent mischievous side. He will sneak up on his sister or a stuffy and pounce. He is adorable and a lot of fun to watch. He also loves to snuggle and be held. He likes to eat a lot and this has helped with potty training. He is sleeping through the night with no accidents. A family will be so lucky to have Lenny as a family member. They will be in for lots of adventures, fun and love.

Patsy is a gorgeous girl.. easily could be a calendar cat. This beauty is shy initially (as in a couple of weeks) but once she feels secure, she is your best pal. She's a quiet and observant girl. Watching the world go by while calmly resting is her style. Patsy would do best in a quiet home. Please consider giving this kitty a forever home.

While she can exhibit timidity and nervousness, retreating to a safe space (behind the sofa in her foster home) when overwhelmed, she is making excellent progress with house training. Sadie would be a wonderful addition to a suitable home.Sadie is an affectionate and loving puppy who thrives on attention. She displays intelligence and a strong willingness to please. She enjoys playtime and cuddling with her foster siblings. Zeke is a happy, healthy, and adventurous pup with a love for life! He adores playing with other dogs (though he hasn’t met any cats yet) and is always up for a good snuggle. His playful spirit and affectionate nature make him a wonderful companion. Plus, he’s very food-motivated, which will be a big help with training. Meet Beth!

This sweet girl had a rough start in life, found running the streets with her mom and siblings. Many of them battled skin issues, but after weeks of care, they’re finally healthy and ready for adoption!



Beth may be a little timid when she first meets new people, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and soak up every bit of love and snuggles. She adores running and playing with her siblings and has a joyful, playful spirit.

While she enjoys the company of other small dogs once she’s comfortable, she would also thrive as the only dog in a home without small children, where she can be the center of attention. Despite her playful nature, Reba has a soft, affectionate side. She loves curling up next to you on the couch or in bed, soaking up all the love she can get. She’s house-trained but not crate-trained and takes a calming medication twice daily to help her relax.
