Meet Wilma! This little sweetheart has a tender soul and is looking for a special adopter to help her blossom. Wilma is shy and cautious in new situations, but she loves affection once she feels safe. She would benefit from a calm, patient home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.

Wilma startles easily, so a gentle hand and understanding approach are key to helping her thrive. She’s playful and gets along well with other dogs, but her submissive nature means she might do best with another dog who can model confidence for her.

Oakley is full of personality! He has an adorable pompom shape on the end of his tail and the pattern of a tree ring in the fur on his side. Oakley enjoys playing but will also give you space. He will not be constantly at your feet and in the middle of your work papers, but he will gladly play when it’s time. Oakley would do well in a home with another cat. He is used to dogs in his foster home and is ok with calm dogs. He loves kitten churu treats and toy mice! Due to an eye issue when he was a very young kitten, his right eye will always appear a little smaller like he's winking at you.

Are you looking for a pint-sized pal who is housebroken, sleeps in every morning, and wants to be by your side at all times? If so, Buddy could be the dog for you! While he enjoys the company of other dogs once he’s comfortable around them, he would also thrive as the only dog. Buddy loves cuddling up next to his humans on the couch and in bed at night. Buddy has a bit of separation anxiety. He wants to be with his humans at all times. He may benefit from someone who works from home or is home a lot. He will follow you from room to room and he will jump into your lap as soon as you sit down. Buddy loves squeaky toys, he loves to fetch a ball, and he enjoys going on walks. Buddy gets really excited for mealtime. While in his foster home, he enjoys his meals in a crate so that he can eat at his own pace and does not feel rushed by his furry foster siblings. People often ask from where our rescues come. I can tell you the many scenarios are hard to believe. This week we were notified of a tiny dog hiding in a extremely narrow passage between two buildings. Poor baby was scared half to death and there was no way a human could get to her. An amazing woman named Becky and a Proverbs’ staff member managed to get her when Becky set up this “ Missy trap” which is like a mini fence, but equipped with a light which closes the gate once the dog enters the fenced area. Precious little girl crept in out of hunger and desperation. She was horribly fearful, but is now safe and slowly
gaining trust. She has been named Starla and once vetted and emotionally rehabbed, will be available for adoption,

Too many animals being born create these sad situations; most don’t have happy endings. There just aren’t enough good homes for the number being born.

Miss Caroline is patiently waiting for her forever home! She's such a fun and odd kitten, so needs a home that will appreciate her quirks and love her for them. Caroline loves pets, but hates it when you reach for her. She loves to be wherever the action is, but usually is an observer unless she's one on one with you. She also loves to talk with and love on the dogs and rarely misses an opportunity to hang with a nearby foster kitty. I'm excited for her to find her forever home and see how she continues to blossom 🌸

Meet Blake! He’s a 3.5 month old terrier mix who loves nothing more than his people. He can be a bit shy at first, but give him just a few minutes to warm up and he’ll be your best friend. He has the sweetest demeanor and plays well with dogs of all sizes. He does well in a crate when his foster is away, however at night he sleeps like an angel baby curled up in the bed next to his foster. Blake responds very well to verbal correction. He understands pottying outside, but you still need to keep an eye on him because he won’t always tell you he needs to go out. If you’re ready for an easy pup to love on, then Blake is eager and ready to meet you.

If you’ve been searching for a sweet boy that was made for snuggles, Yeti Spaghetti is the boy for you! Yeti was abandoned by his family after a house fire and is ready for his new forever home. He loves being around his humans and will greet you at the door and always be by your side. He loves cuddling and playing with other cats, but he thinks dogs are a little too scary.

Although Yeti has been diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), it doesn't dampen his spirits. He can still live a long life. He would love a kitty sibling in his forever home. He needs to be kept indoors at all times.

Yeti is also on a prescription diet for food allergies that caused an upset stomach. Since starting this food (Royal Canin Ultamino), he feels great and his tummy troubles are gone!

Abigail is a soft hearted, easy going girl. She can be slow to warm up to men and will need someone who is patient and understanding that it may take a few weeks for her to feel comfortable in her new home. Abigail came to us severely malnourished and had lived her life on a chain. Abigail was heartworm positive. She has been treated for heartworms and is now a healthy, heartworm negative girl.
She enjoys playing with other dogs large or small. Loves to be with her humans. Soft and delicate, Abigail is crate trained and has had no accidents lately.
She does great on car rides.
Abigail is wonderful!!

Fritz is a very sweet boy! He is pretty chill for a pup his age. If I come into his room, or speak to him, he will sit in front of me and wait to be petted , then roll over for Belly rubs! He is very smart! Loves other pups and all people. Fritz is a bit shy at first and startled by loud noises but I believe this will resolve with age ,as he warms up quickly. He and his sister have their own space in my laundry room with a baby gate. Fritz is doing well using the p*e pads in their confined space and he sits at his own bowl to eat his food! He has a short coat and seems to be low on the shedding scale. Fritz is a gentle pup with a precious personality!

Meet Andy Logan, another deserving senior who got his freedom ride today. This little guy was in the Logan County KY shelter with little hope of being adopted. He has been transported to our primary vet, Cornerstone Animal Hospital where he will stay the night. We do know he has a bad ear infection and is not neutered. We will have a senior blood panel done to evaluate his overall health and make plans to get him in tip top shape. The shelter was so nice to work with, so appreciative, and Andy Logan is so precious. Lots of groups rush in to get the young, the trendy, the fluffy adorables, but there is just no better feeling than seeing a gray muzzle get a freedom ride. Meet Skyler - this handsome boy has all kinds of personality. From his piercing blue eyes, to his dark brows that frame his little face, and he’s sure to win you over with his love and tenderness. He’s very playful and loves a good antler bone to chew on. He’s a Great Pyrenees mix, so he’s going to be a big boy. But for now he’s just a pup who’s learning the ropes inside of his foster home. He’s following the lead of the resident bigger dogs in the home, and plays very nice with them. Skyler loves nothing more than food, he takes his time savoring every little bite. He’s takes frequent potty breaks outside, and is getting better every day about running to the door when he needs to go out. He is learning about the crate during the day when his fosters are away, it’s not his favorite but after a few minutes he settles down. At night he sleeps snuggled up next to his foster in the bed, and will alert if he needs to go out or get a drink of water. This little guy is going to make a great companion.
