Farmhand/Milker (Fulltime).

Manna Valley Farm is a progressive dairy located 10 minutes south of Warragul, Victoria.

We are currently milking 350 well bred, large framed Holsteins through a 28 stand rotary with ACR, auto draft, and auto teat spray. We have a split calving system commencing in March and July, using all artificial breeding in the dairy operation. We have and utilise the latest GEA technology, with Cowscout collars on our cows linked with the Dairy Plan herd recording system.

As we develop and expand our operation, vacancies become available, and we are currently seeking to employ career minded staff to assist us and our team in achieving our goals.
A suitable applicant for the farmhand/milker role will have a minimum 12 months’ experience across most aspects of a dairy farm operation, with proven abilities in milking, herd health, stock movements, and machinery operation (quad bike/ side by side buggy, etc). The role includes milking, calf rearing, stock feeding and movements, pasture maintenance, dairy maintenance and cleanliness, breeding and herd health programs.
The successful applicant will be punctual, honest, reliable, have a good work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. An eye for detail, and the ability to detect issues with stock or farm equipment, are also important.
We are seeking somebody who is available to work an average 50 hour week, on a rolling 10 on/ 4 off roster. We pay above award wages which will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on abilities, experience, and commitment.
