Hi again! 🐈‍⬛

I just got back from vacation, and my husband took care of everyone while I was gone. While I was away, the babies have grown so much!

What were once wiggly potatoes are now walking potatoes! With the CUTEST little faces! And it's still a little too early to tell, but at least one of them might have long hair. We'll have to wait and see.

Here are a few photos I was able to get after I cleaned their space up. The Cow baby was totally uninterested in having her photo taken, so I'll try again later.

Side note: in putting out more toys for the babies, mama found a catnip mouse and let loose for the first time in the 2+ weeks she's been here! So happy to find something that stimulates her.

I will try to post more often now that I'm back home. In the meantime, look how cute!!

Everyone is doing well! 🐈‍⬛

We have just been focusing on building trust with mama. She is so timid but has been so brave, and she will finally come out of the nest to get loved on. Not for long; we go back and forth, but I'm so proud of her for starting to trust me. The other day I raised my hand - just a normal gesture for something I was doing - and she instantly recoiled and put her ears back. It breaks my hard that she could have a reaction like that, and I don't know what kind of past she's had, but I hope she's learning that she's safe here. 🩵

In other news, the babies have eyeballs! Eyes are open and they are starting to move around very clumsily. This is SUCH a cute age. 🩵

New places, smells, and sounds can be scary when you're a brand new mom of triplets!

This tuxie mama is very timid and only leaves her babies long enough to go to the bathroom or grab a quick bite of food, then she's right back in the nest. We will go at her pace and give her space to feel safe. 🩵

After taking a bit of a break from fostering, we're back! I got a VERY fresh litter and their mama from the shelter today, and once they settle in, I'm so excited to get to know them. 🩵 Stay tuned!

Ivy (the Kitten FKA Victoria) has found her forever home with us! 🥰

We decided that the best home for Ivy was the one that knew her health issues and physical quirks inside and out. She's got a head tilt. She's got a tremor. She's at least partially, if not totally, blind in one eye. She approaches normal tasks a little differently than most kittens.

But she also has a loud purr. She's the best biscuit maker on this side of the Mississippi. She's insistent that she will eat whatever it is you're eating, even if you tell her no 1000 times. She's hilarious, sweet, and good. We weren't looking for another cat, but I'm grateful she found us.

If you're looking for an equally wonderful kitten to add to your home, call or stop by Macon County Animal Control. Carl and Albert are patiently awaiting their turns, as well as dozens more deserving, adorable kittens and adult cats.
