Nakita found her way into my life after facing abuse and neglect. Her beloved spirit will forever live on through the lives of the dogs that are rescued because of her. Each tail wag, every joyful bark, and the love that these dogs receive is a testament to the impact she had on my life. Her legacy is one of immense resilience and hope, reminding us that even in her absence, her strength continues to inspire us to help those in need.

Reese & Sully have been ill for almost 2 weeks. It is all day and all night special care with these two puppers. Exhausting, yet they still manage to have their spirits up most of the time. Troopers!

Sully continues to need help. Urgent vet visit for Sully boy yesterday. Brought him back to be admitted today. Hopefully figure out the cause of this poor boy's pain so we can know how to help him further.

A couple of sweet girls got spay surgeries. Heidi has had a difficult 48hrs but she's a trooper and is doing much better. Moxie is doing well. Just having a hard time adjusting to no jumping and playing with her doggie friends until healed. Going to be a long 2 weeks for her.

These 2 were next at the vet. Reese was seen last Friday and Heidi today. These girls are on the mend and doing good, considering where they came from.

I found Harper underneath all of that super stinky matting. So neglected, and at only 6 months of age. Been to the vet and receiving proper care and meds now. No more bloody stool. She's a trooper!
Getting these dogs the medical care they they need and showing them lots of luvs. Not all humans are scary horrible people.

Emergency trip to the vet for Sully last week. His beautiful fur will fool your eyes, ...this poor boy is a bag of bones. He's gonna be ok and he appears to be improving this week. His gastrointestinal hemorrhage seems to have stopped. You got this Sully boy!

The dogs here are in need of and are receiving vetting and special care. Also, when they are healthy and stable they will be spayed and neutered.

Nakita's Digs welcomes Heidi, Reese, Sully, and Harper. I walked into something I was not expecting last week. But so glad for these dogs that I did. Always been outdoors, almost never touched let alone be petted or shown any affection by humans. Three of you are very underweight, barely fed. Never let out of their enclosure. You've been neglected and mistreated.
You pups are safe now.

Help us get the message out!

No Excuses. . To report an animal left unattended in a vehicle, call Provincial Animal Welfare Services at 1-833-9Animal, or your local police. If you see an animal in immediate danger, call 911. Take down the license plate of the vehicle and try to get someone close by to go into the store and have the owner paged back to the vehicle, while you stay with the animal.
