Vision:
PAWS seeks a time when there are no homeless companion animals in south central Pennsylvania. Strategies:
•Facilitating the spaying and neutering of owned and unowned animals.
•Rescuing, fostering, and finding permanent homes for stray, abused, abandoned and otherwise homeless animals.
•Collaboration with other humane organizations.
•Raising awareness of the plight of homeless animals a

nd ways in which individuals can reduce overpopulation. PAWS aspires to best practices established by well-respected organizations such as: Best Friends, Alley Cat Allies, Neighborhood Cats, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project, and Best Friends' No More Homeless Pets movement, and understanding what the No Kill Movement is all about - and how it relates to PAWS which subscribes to the No Kill Philosophy.

We had an incredible, amazing, fantastic TNR clinic!
Over 90+ cats came through the clinic!!! We finished surgeries before 10pm!!!
PAWS amazing Medical Director Dr. Whittaker is always so patient with us when we get the crazy idea to hold a marathon clinic. 😹😹😹
We got to celebrate the incomparable Dr. Bryan. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!🥳🎉🎂
We not only appreciate his talent but he brings Scotty along and we use him as a clinic therapy dog!! Look at that face!!!
Our volunteers rocked it out! Clinics aren't easy, physically or emotionally! Everyone knew the assignment and knocked it out of the park.
It was a very good, very productive day!!

Besties! Visually impaired Winker is glad to have Spring to lean on. They're growing up together and when old enough will be adopted together. This will certainly benefit both Winker and Spring. They'll have a playmate and a friend for comfort. Adopting a bonded pair is a fantastic idea.
Winker and Spring still have several weeks before they'll be interviewing for their forever home. Think how cute they'll be till then! 😻

Cool cat Anchovy is as affectionate as she is beautiful. She came through our TNR to Foster program after coming to a clinic. We took one look at her and knew we'd make room for her. Anchovy's right eye has scarring and a bluish discoloration from previous injury or infection. Our veterinarian determined there's no need to remove the eye unless it would begin to cause problems in the future. She's adorable and healthy. Arrange a meet and greet today.

Operation Kitten in the Tree 😻
After living in the tree for at least a week, the kitten has been rescued. She is resting comfortably in a foster home. PAWS volunteer Lori saw her while walking a dog near the tree. Kitten definitely chose the right person to peep herself.
Lori Zink spent every day feeding her in the tree and trying to softly convince her the ground is better. Multiple friends and volunteers joined the effort to bring kitten down. But as kittens do, she took naps after meal delivery instead of coming down. Yesterday with rain in the forecast the efforts went into overdrive. It took about 5 minutes and bam kitten was gently snagged from behind and had 4 paws safely in a transfer cage on the ground. 🎉🥳
Now, we fear we may have created a problem no one expected....have we interrupted the creation of Keebler fudge striped cookies. Was kitten in charge of production? 🙀😹

THANKS to everyone who helped. Kitten is skinny and needs to gain some weight, which shouldnt be a problem. 🍲🍛🍲🍛

Munich is a calm, nice guy who loves broth packets and King of the Hill reruns. His favorite character is Hank due to his panache for grilling meats. Stop by PAWS adoption center inside PetSmart, Mechanicsburg on the Carlisle Pike to meet him and his friends.
We're pretty sure that Munich would also enjoy Hallmark movies with little convincing.

Can't let the day go by without a shout out to the amazing Dr. Cincotti!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. CINCOTTI!!!😻
She kicked off her birthday celebration by coming in to finish off our overwhelming TNR clinic last night. Amazing Vet Tech Megan came along to help us out, too!
We all worked till 3AM getting all the TNRs spay/neutered!
This clinic was rough. It was filled with the heartbreak of suffering many homeless cats experience. Lots of pregnant moms, so many kittens. We dug deep and helped the cats the best we could. We cleaned up their wounds, we treated sickness and we SPAYED & NEUTERED.
Knowing that at the drop of a hat Dr. Cincotti and Megan raced to help us takes the sting out of rough clinic.
Much appreciation to Dr. Whittaker and Dr. Griswold who managed the brutal extra long day shift. Their dedication makes our TNR clinics happen.
We appreciate all our vets talent, compassion and their friendship! 💗

As always, special thanks to all our volunteers dedicated to helping cats have better lives. Some watched the sunrise on their drive home this morning. Such great people. ❤️

Where's Waldo? HOME! He's home safe and sound!😻🎊🎉💗🤩
After one-month on the lam he was humanely trapped next door to his foster home.
This is proof positive as to why you should never give up hope and never stop actively trying to bring lost kitties home.
Waldo is home resting and will be getting a health check up to make sure he's doing ok. He is a bit skinnier and he's wasting no time making up for lost meals.
Today's a good day!! Yay, Waldo!!

This is some good branding right here, folks. We added sparkles for Sparkles!!! 😺😸😹 How cute is she? Sparkles walks with a wobble due to a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), sometimes called wobbly cat syndrome. It's a congenital condition in cats that is neither contagious nor progressive. No medical treatment is needed. She's able to climb onto a cat tree and gets around fine. She loves pets and wants to meet you at the PetSmart Harrisburg - Lower Paxton. Bonus points given if you wear sparkles!! 😻

Grinch rolled into PAWS-ville a couple years ago around Christmas with a messed up face and a bad attitude. Hence the name. He's since healed and much like the movie his heart has grown 3 sizes. He's no longer a curmudgeon, unless you want to hold him or like really love on him. He considers that gross. Grinch would love a home for Christmas but he has no interest with a dog named Max. Again, gross. He would however love presents and treats and good things to eat. Could you be the Cindy-Lou to our Grinch?

COOLERS NEEDED We're looking for large styrofoam coolers to make into community cat shelters! Do you get meal delivery? We want your cooler. Do you own a store that receives cold/frozen inventory? We want your cooler. These shelters are life-saving during the cold winter season. Helps keep cats safe, warm and dry. Coolers can be dropped off at PAWS or message us to make other arrangements.

Spotlight on Zeus He loves water fountains, he’s getting better with other cats (but would probably enjoy a home where he’s the only cat). He adores laps, if he considered you his person. Doesn’t mind being held. Digs smaller/medium size dogs but had a Napolean complex and doesn’t dig larger dogs.
