The moment we have been waiting 10 months for Pumpkin was adopted!!!!! To be honest, we were giving up on finding her a home, her foster was thinking about keeping her which meant she would not have been able to help other dogs and we desperately need her to foster. But.... we were invited to Steve Cap adoption event in Menands, ERin brought Pumpkin and a couple were there that by chance saw Pumpkin hanging out being calm, didn't care she is blind and needs insulin shots. Sounded too good to be true but no, its a match made in heaven and everything has been going great and Pumpkin is bonding with their dog!!!! We cannot thank Erin enought for all she has done for the last 10 months for Pumpkin and to her adopters for picking a dog that truly needed them! This gives us hope for the other longer dogs in our program. PLEASE look at the dogs that need you that have been waiting longer, have medical needs, need to be an only dog, they are just as deserving of a home!

We are so happy to announce that Callie was adopted by a prior MRR adopter! She now lives accross the street from a beautiful park, has a canine sister Sophie and a family that is home most of the time with her! Thank you to Colleen for saying yes to foster Callie so she could find her home!

New arrival Cooper!!! Meet Cooper! He is about 5 months old, doodle mix ( maybe schnauzer or lab he has big paws for being a pup.) Great with other dogs; extra large , med and tiny , and submissive. He loves being outside and swimming and is playful. His has puppy mentality 100%, teething, wants to play and steals toys, and still learning potty training. Cooper maybe shy at first but is so loving and cuddly!!! Great with school age kids. He would do great in a home with other dogs and a back yard! Meet our new arrival Jerry!!! Jerry is about 1 year old 26 pound beagle that comes to us from a shelter we work with in KY. His foster mom reports he is doing great! No issues, no accidents. He gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home! He slept in a crate, a slight whimper and then fast asleep. He met both of the cats and they are totally comfortable with him! Sometimes it is too hard to get everyone in one photo as we are all so excited about the adoption, dogs included! Curley was adopted this week and now all three dogs are MRR! We could not be happier for Curley that he has 2 canine siblings , a gorgeous fenced in yard and a family that loves him! They came to a clinic not looking to adopt a 3rd and fell in love! Thank you Floyd County Animal Shelter, Curleys foster Karen and mostly thank you to his adopters!!! Stayed tuned in next few days, we might have some more announcements!

Who wants to know what we have been up to? Well, Doja now Emmy is the first dog we are announcing that was adopted this week!!! We are so happy for her she now has a fenced in yard, 2 doggies and 1 human sibling! Thanks to Almost Home Shelter Pet Rescue 2020 #1 for rescuing Doja in KY, Steve and family for saying yes to foster and to her adopters for making this happen!

New to MRR coming mid month! Say hello to this wiggly guy! Meet Albert! He was a stray that had some sort of absess on his cheek which was treated with antibiotics and he is doing fine! Check out this cutie!

The changes in Neil are AMAZING! If you met this boy when he first came in, you may want to meet him again! He came to us from a local Animal Control after he was found tied to a tree and left. Obviously, he was timid and had a tough time trusting humans. Fast forward a month and this dog is truly amazing! He goes to Doggie daycare, gives kisses when he meets new people, loves the car and walks, floating in the pool and jumping into the water, playing on the splash pad, snuggling on the couch, curling up in bed, playing with other dogs, cats he is overly interested in and would be a nuisance to them without training. He is the perfect co worker too! Come meet Neil this Sunday at the Rotterdam Benson's 11 - 1!
