Summer Treat Pup Pop Recipe ☀️

It sure is getting hot out there 🥵!! We’re already ready for the fall weather 🍂 🤣 but until then… we’ll be keeping some mini ice treats in the freezer for our pups!! Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients
Solaris Supplements
Kefir (or Goat Milk)
Coconut Oil

How to
1. Get a small spoonful of coconut oil and put into your molds for the bottom layer.
2. Freeze for 4 hours.
3. Meanwhile, mix kefir with a spoonful of the Sunrise Solar Supplement mix. (You can also make evening treats with their evening supplement mix).
4. Once the coconut oil is frozen, add a second spoonful of the kefir/supplement mix on top in your molds.
5. Freeze for another 4 hours.
6. Serve in bowl, enjoy! 🐾

It’s Pet Cancer Awareness Month and we wanted to give a shoutout to for all that they do to ensure a long, healthy life for our pups (nutritionally speaking)! 🐾

Not only do they provide us with an amazing line of but they’ve also got some really yummy treats for our pups (Chicken and Lamb Protein Bites)! They go CRAZZZYYY over them! It’s easy to pick some treats up at Walmart during your weekly shopping trips but have you checked the ingredients of what you’re giving your pups? 🐾 Do they make sense to you at all? Because ingredient list makes 100% sense to us!!

When we’re looking to give our pups an overall healthy body system to have a strong immunity system, treats are a spot I’ve seen some pup parents miss! Lots are switching to but they’re forgetting their treats may contain loads of artificial ingredients and sugars! With cancer, a diet low in carbs and high in quality protein and fats hopefully helps to starve the cancer cells. Be sure you’re looking at everything and all, you’re feeding your pup!

As always, we preach preventative care over everything! Feeding healthy everything from the start is the way to go! 💪 If we are confronted with a disease like cancer, we’ll be starting with a strong immunity system base and that’s important too!

On top of getting our , we also enjoy getting all things chicken 🐓 and rabbit 🐰 for our family here! They’re your one stop shop! 🐾 Dad always gets us bones to chew on for in the park or around the lake! Yesterday he got us chicken feet! Woohoo!!! 🎉

Hi, I’m Marley. I’m a 5.5 month old cocker spaniel. I’m Achilles & Bella’s first born and my human mom cut my umbilical cord after birth since Robin was born just 6 minutes later and mom was tending to him! 😱 Human mom got scared because I wasn’t breathing but then I did!! I also am the only blondie of the liter! 💛

What led us to and Raw Feeding was my senior dog, Barlow getting sick after a lifetime of kibble. He left me much too soon 🌈 at the age of 14 and my whole self wishes I had known about raw food way earlier! Steve’s Real Food webinars are always great because they provide so much educational and helpful info for those who are new to raw, looking for a brand with similar values to their own or curious what the hype about raw is!

We feed raw to all 4 of our dogs (caring for my mom’s puppy while they build her house in our backyard!) and we’re an open book about our experience with raw feeding! Cocker family, 100% Raw Fed.

It has seriously been amazing to see Bella’s recovery post puppy birth! We fed her Steve’s Prey Diet (to fuel her with extra calories during her time feeding all 4 puppies) and she had no hair loss and she barely lost any weight! (She did get slightly thinner after birth but we made sure to up her food for a couple months so she could recover.) She actually is better than before! Happy, energetic and thriving!

Although we would love to not (for natural reasons) get her fixed, we’ve decided it’s the best option for our family. Keeping her and Achilles apart when she’s in heat is not easy! We had considered going two completely different places for her next few heats and letting her have her last liter in a couple years. But, things have changed and we will get her ready to go into surgery next month. 🙏 We’re a bit nervous about this choice since she had zero complications with her first birth but also don’t want endless puppies! Finding amazing homes is not an easy task! We’re happy where Robin & Peggy ended up, that is for sure! Nala will go with my mom in a couple months (on our property still) and Adrian had to keep one from the liter! He’s been obsessed with Junior since he was born. I did also cut his umbilical cord and help him take his first breath! (We also can’t decide on a name for him 😂 Marley? 🤷‍♀️)

We’re halfway through the month (or over eek!!) and we wanted to talk about it!! 🦷 February is National Pet Dental Health Month.

We choose not only for its nutritional value but ALSO because, as we all know, health starts in our mouths!!! Our teeth are super important!! Raw meat contains natural enzymes that may help break down food particles and bacteria in the mouth, reducing the risk of plaque formation.

Look at ANY dogs teeth that are fed 100% kibble, it’s scary (I know! Because I looked when I babysat some pups 😳)!!!! The amount of plaque buildup and sadly how that breaks down the gum tissue and causes dental issues over a dog’s lifetime is so sad to me! I honestly don’t know how a pup parent doesn’t see these things!! Then look at the teeth of any raw fed dog, it’s a world of a difference!!!! Especially those who are given raw bones to chew and gnaw at! Not only helping their jaw muscles but breaking down the plaque that may form. contains ground up bones too!

Another fact? By consuming a diet closer to their natural, evolutionary diet, the pH balance in the mouth is more likely to remain neutral or slightly alkaline, which is healthier for teeth and gums. 💪

A little bit more difficult to concentrate over here and get good photos 😂 with 4, 11 week old puppies!! (And pup mom is taking care of 4 other dogs, 4 cats and 10 chickens around the neighborhood 😱)

Bella has been a nursing 🤱 champ these past three weeks!!! We’re so proud of this little girl! 🥰

When we found out she was pregnant, we got in touch with and they educated us about their Prey Line! It has extra calories for growing momma and puppies inside and is the perfect food for when nursing all her puppies! We also like to top off her patty with some extra protein (since she’s always hungry 😂). We used Chicken Hearts and Salmon Bites as yummy treat toppers!
