Hazenfire Australian Shepherds

Wow it’s been a little while since we have given a post feed update!
We’ve done quite a bit over the last few months here at Hazenfire and had lots of fun while we were at it!
The biggest event would be we travelled to the ADAA nation GP for the first time and had the best time!
Both dogs did amazing but ottie smashed it coming home with multiple clear rounds and multiple placing.

We have earnt a few titles as well, 🦊 fox gained the last pass he needed for his gamblers dog title and is knocking on the door of his next jumping title! He also got himself a pass in sprint dog.

Otter 🦦 gained the passes she needs for her AADA AAD title, her ANKC JD title and her ANKC sprint dog title. Bringing her to 5 titles in less then 10 months of competing. She’s also got some passes towards a few others.

While we are having the best time playing sport we are keen for the Xmas holiday where we will sit back and relax. Not yet though we still have a few agility competitions to do for the year!

As always we are so thankful for our friends and family who are along for the ride! Especially our amazing sports coach.

Ottie got to pick up her best (so far) ribbon today at the PADS games comp.

Otter got her Agility Dog Association of Australia (ADAA) Beginner Australian Agility Dog (BAAD) title a few weeks ago. Super proud of this little dog, she always tries so hard for me!

This week we headed down south to the agility nationals in Sydney NSW. We had such a fun time with our friends and finally got to meet some of our online friends in person.

Both Fox and Otter did me proud.

Fox 🦊:
He wasn't at his best, poor thing was a tad sore in the back leg going into this comp and the muddy conditions really didn't help. Despite that he gave me some good things. No Q's this trip for him.

We DQ'd our agility runs haha - he said no thanks to the weaves this week.
JDX: best placing was 14th out of 64 dogs
Snooker excellent : he did great, I forgot that 6 comes after 5 and before 7 so messed that up for him.
Gamblers: he had a fantastic run, for some unknown reason we had a few points not called, which took us from a Q to a NQ. Disappointing as that would of been his title, but it is what it is.
I pulled him out of JDO on the Saturday.

He has a tune up at the chiro this week so we will see how that leg is going. Overall he handled the big environment, lots of dogs and busy days really well and I'm proud of him.

Otter 🦦:
She was fantastic. Only entered in JD as when I had to put entries in she hadn't started competing yet. As normal she took the busy environment and long days all in her stride and had not a worry in the world. She was fast, focused and happy!

Her best result was a Q22nd out of 100 dogs!
I think her other run was 29th/ 100 and a DQ (by my choice)
just some baby dog things, running around a bar (last jump and 2nd last jump haha and me making the decision to not fix it) but she did the technical parts of the courses so well.
JDO - we knew this one was beyond her skill level but figured wed go out have fun and DQ, and we did. She did so many parts of that course so so well, and she even got half the exclusion zone which I was really happy with.

Its hard to believe she's been competing for 8 weeks and is barely 20 months old. I can't wait to see what she's like in 2 years!

Now time to unpack and clean up and have a rest. Hopefully we will see everyone for QLD nationals in 2026!

❤️NEVE HAS FOUND THE PERFECT NEW BED❤️

Neve is a nearly 4 year old Blue Merle desexed Australian shepherd with a natural bob tail. Full sister to dory and nasa. She is available through no fault of her own after a change in family situation, which meant it was better for her to find a new 🏡.
She has great basic obedience skills, good recall, great off lead, is good with other dogs, loves to swim and toilet and crate trained. Neve loves her toys and is an avid sock theif...it's actually impressive how many pairs she can fit in her mouth at one time 😅. She has even done foundation agility and tracking classes, so could be a fun dog for someone interested in playing with some sports.
She grew up and did everything with another dog who sadly passed a couple of years ago and that in combination with the recent change in situation has made her lack some confidence (happy to explain further to those interested) but since being back with us has improved drastically.
I have taken her down to lurk on the sidelines of my agility classes to test her with other dogs and highly arousing dogs and remained focused on me and relaxed 😊
Neve would suit a home with another confident, relaxed dog or someone willing to put in the time to build her confidence solo, having always had another dog as a security blanket she can get a little anxious on her own out and about. She is hapoy to chill at home while your at work and loves treat toys. She needs someone that is firm and can be clear on what is expected of her, clear rules and routine is perfect for her.

Some updated ‘show style’ photos of Mr Fox we got back recently. We love this dude, he’s not super keen on showing - not enough running and jumping for him, but the treats make it worth it he thinks :p.

Fox is the sire of our ‘animal littler’.

We had a fun but wet morning out at Sunshine Coast dog obedience for their triple tricks trial. Ottie went in only needing one more Q for her first title. But she’s an over achiever so she almost got the title twice 🤪

She was a great little girl and listened well in the busy environment! That’s a placing in 4/5 trials she’s done -super proud of the little ottie pup.

We had a fun time meeting the newest little member from last night. He’s such a fun little dude! And best of all he’s already got group photos nailed.

The crew were polite respectful of their new little friend. We look forward to watching Loki grow up!

How cool are these shots of Otter (Hazenfire Otter this world - trix x fox) We ventured out for a long, hot 🔥 day to our first agility seminar last week with international agility competitor Iwona. We got lots of great feedback and lots of homework to work on.

I’m really proud of how this little dog handled the heat, environment and challenges sent her way! At 15 months old, I couldn’t be more greatful for where we are at in this agility journey. She’s a joy to run and play with, taking everything in her stride and trying her heart out for me.

Special shout out to everyone who’s helped and encouraged us along the way! Not long now till she’s old enough to compete!

Edit: Juno has found her forever home 🏠 thanks for sharing everyone 🥰

We have a lovely 15 month old black tri (full tail) female searching for her forever home. Juno is a goofy and loveable young girl. She can be more nervous, especially around strangers, but once you're in her circle her true personality comes out to play. She walks well on leash and is very eager to please and learns quickly. She’s is fully house and crate trained.

Juno would do best in a home where shes the only dog, soaking up all the love without having to share her humans. She enjoys playing with dogs she knows, but likes her own space at the end of the day.

Juno comes desexed with lifetime support from us. She is up to date on vaccines, worming, flea and tick.
