🐇✨Thinking about adding a rabbit to your family or already have a fluffy friend at home? Here are a few essentials for keeping your bun healthy & hoppy:

🌿 Fresh Diet: Hay and a high quality rabbit pellet should make up most of their meals! Add in leafy greens daily, and an occasional healthy treat. KPB Rabbit Pellet is a great option.
🏡 Rabbits need roomy enclosures and daily playtime outside their pen. Keep cords, toxic plants, and small objects out of reach.

Molting season is upon us! 🪶 🐓
New to owning poultry? Get ready for some changes and be prepared to give your hens a helping hand.

1. What is molting?
Molting is a natural process, triggered by the decrease in daylight hours in late summer and fall, where chickens shed old feathers and grow new ones. It usually happens once a year and can make your flock look a little scruffy, but it’s a healthy reset for their bodies. During this time, hens often slow down or stop laying eggs so their energy can go toward feather growth.
Molting can sometimes be triggered by stressors such as heat or environmental stress.

2. Provide support:
Feather regrowth takes a lot of protein! Their new feathers, which are about 85% protein in the form of keratin, require a significant amount of dietary protein to grow. Make sure your flock has access to fresh water, an stress-free environment, and lots of supplemental protein. Extra treats like mealworms, scrambled eggs, or sunflower seeds can also give them a boost. Keep an eye on them and provide cozy shelter to reduce stress.

3. Up the protein:
