** TORNADO WATCH**
The NWS has issued a tornado watch for the following counties until midnight.
Adams, Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. As well as counties north and west of the region.

A line of severe thunderstorms is expected to cross Central
Pennsylvania, roughly between 5 and 10 pm. Some areas will see damaging wind gusts of 60 to 80 mph along this line of storms. Given how strong the winds are in the lower levels of the atmosphere, isolated tornadoes are also a possibility.

This is NOT shelter from the heat. This is a "heat box".
No, your dog does not enjoy laying in the direct sun without shade for hours IN THIS HEAT or laying inside these "cookers".
Bring your dogs inside your home in this heat!

Holiday decorations may be visually appealing, but they also increase your risk for a home fire. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), electrical problems cause 38 percent of home Christmas tree fires.

As you deck the halls of your home this season, follow these tips from NFPA and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) to prevent serious electrical and fire hazards:
• Check light sets for frayed or damaged wiring before using;
• Connect no more than three mini light sets for decorating;
• Keep your tree at least three feet away from heat sources like fireplaces, radiators, candles or heat vents;
• If you have a live tree, remember to add water to the tree stand daily; and
• Always turn off holiday lights before leaving home or going to bed.

Tomorrow is Halloween and Trick or Treat night in Lebanon County. We urge you to have fun but also to be safe.

Costumes and repetitive door bell ringing can be stressful for your furry friend. Cats and dogs may sneak out of an open door. To keep them safe try putting them in their crate or another room for the duration.

Chocolate can be dangerous to pets so once you check your loot, put it in a safe space to avoid a potential emergency trip to the vet.
But most of all have fun!!

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 2 PM EDT MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a WindAdvisory, which is in effect from 2 AM to 2 PM EDT Monday.

TIMING...Late Sunday night through Monday morning.
WINDS...Northwest 20to 35 MPH with gusts as high as 45 to 50 MPH at times.
IMPACTS...Strong winds will bring down tree limbs and will lead to smaller loose objects being blown about. The combination of heavy rain softening the ground and strong wings may also cause trees to topple, which could fall on power lines causing power outages.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Wind advisories are issued when sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph and/or wind gusts over 45 mph are expected. Winds of this magnitude could cause minor damage to trees, power lines and weaker structures. Persons in the advisory area should secure all loose outdoor objects. If you are traveling through the advisory area keep a firm grip on the wheel, especially for those driving high profile vehicles.
