All important and significant relationships: romantic, platonic, familial, chosen, etc., should be treated like a garden in order to grow and thrive.
Plants need to be watered, fertilized (fed with good food), and pruned. They also need sunlight, care, and nurturing.
Every relationship that is significant and important to me, I treat like my garden. Those relationships are nutured, and cared for like a newborn baby. I invest in them because my heart desires to do so and the return is many beautiful harvests.
And when my “plants” struggle, I do not discard them. I find ways to help them thrive again; more watering, more care, more nurturing, more food, more love.
Growing food and growing REAL love is intentional. Asé.
