Welcome to Otis!
Otis arrived with me (Heather) last night at 8:30.
Otis has travelled all the way from Swansea, with the help of many people.
Unfortunately this sweet picture is hiding something urgent.

Romi and Neo are looking for their forever home. Romi was adopted and bonded to her husbun Neo, last December after spending 250+ days in rescue just because she is a black rabbit 😥. Unfortunately, in June they were returned due to a change of circumstances, we don't want Romi to be in rescue for another 250+ days. She is the most loving, friendly bun, she really needs a place to call her forever home.###

Can anyone collect this bun from me (Becky) Sunday night, in Stoke (St2) or Monday and get him to Standish? Or even better straight to Heather (la5 9ld), please?

He needs to be seen Tuesday morning at the exotics to figure out what is going on with his eye and get the treatment he needs, or he will be PTS (obviously not by us, but his owner is threatening to)😭

Let me make this clear we ARE NOT putting him to sleep, his old owners have threatened to, but they are now happy to surrender him, but he needs to get to Heather in la5 -he is coming from Wales, and is being collected tomorrow morning, we just need help with the final leg of the journey 😁

Hi fwends.

I'm Hershey, I'm 6 months old, neutered and vaccinated.

I have a damaged left eye, I can see out of it but we aren't sure how much because apparently, I don't know my alphabet, can't read or talk😕 the damage occured when I was a baby before my eyes opened, I somehow got some bacteria in there. The exotic vets have said it's superficial damage.

I was just wondering, if anyone could see past that and allow me to join their fur babies?

My nick name is "hay monster", I like to eat lots of hay 😋 I promise to behave, I also like attention and will beg for treatos.

The hoomans here said they can help bond me to my new pals, if anyone is ready to give me a chance? 🥹❤️

What's the one thing you wish you had known before getting rabbits? 👀

With more and more daily requests coming in to surrender rabbits, whether it's
"I'm allergic to them"
" I got them for my kids but they are bored"
" I'm being made homeless and can't take them"
" I can't afford them"
"They are poorly and I have no funds"

We REALLY need fosters, do you think you can help?

We pay vet bills, they are vaccinated, spayed and neutered before they come to you. Send hay, forage, litter and food (if needed). We can send indoor pens if needed.

🐰Boys update🐰

Storm - this boy couldn't make me prouder! 8 weeks since we have last seen his amazing vet! 14 weeks since he's abscess has been lanced, meaning the depocillin is definitely working! He is back again in 5 weeks for a check up.
We took him as we noticed a lump where his abscess capsule is. There was an abscess forming, so he had that lanced, and like a champ, he was awake, he is the best lad ever. He is back on depocillin injections daily, he has put weight on and his teeth are absolutely fine. He has found a new hay he absolutely loves! He would like to also ask, if anyone can send him some treats, Oaticakes or his new favourite hay, he would be SUPER grateful!

Rocket - well what can we say about Rocket, he is almost the size of Storm, has put weight on, he now weighs 1.7kg, when he first came to us he dropped to 1.2kg 😭. He also would be EXTREMELY grateful for any treats and Oaticakes 😂

Groot - Groot is Groot, he has the most amazing personality, he is funny, loving and 100% full of beans. Oh and destructive, very destructive! He would like some chew mats, please (saves my carpets). He had a groom yesterday and claws cut, he hates his paws being touched but with some encouragement and lots of wiggles and pull aways, we did it 😂 and yes he got treats after. I mean after all, the way to a rabbit's heart is food right?

We do have some fundraisers coming up for the boys so keep your eyes peeled!

****Sanctuary certificates, guys, please bare with me, honestly I haven't forgotten, I (Becky) have had a lot to deal with at home and it's just starting to *hopefully* calm down, I will get these done asap, if I can get my printer to now connect (it decided it doesn't want to work ATM!!) again you will get them, just slightly delayed 🙈🙈***

Yesterday Storm, Hershey and Zane all went to the vets.

Storm had his abscess lanced for the first time in 14 weeks! He has done absolutely amazing to get this far! His teeth are great, so it was another bottle of Depocillin, another bottle of Metacam, and back in 5 weeks for a check up!

Hershey went to The Veterinary Health Centre in Lytham (Exotic vets) to have his eye checked over.
The good news is that he DOES have some sight in his eye! He can definitely see light/shadows. The damage to his eye seems to be superficial, and shouldn't cause any problems for him.
It means that he can now go up for adoption!

Zane, also went to TVHC, is a complete mystery. He has a *few* spurs, but they aren't causing him not to eat. He sat munching his hay in front of the vets. However, he has lost a lot of weight, so he is back there next week to have a dental, bloods taken and x-rays, to see if we can get to the bottom of his problems!
Zane is a totally different boy to when he came to us. We is friendly, loves being stroked, loves kids, and most of all, loves his bunny family.

Zane would love it if someone could send him some Emeraid Intensive Care Herbivore food!
It's much cheaper elsewhere than Amazon - please message for Zanes address if you can buy him some!

He absolutely LOVES his extra feeds (critical care, forage, dandelion roots etc)

Our vet trips yesterday came to just over £200.

Remember Parsnip? He is now Odin and he is loving life with his two new pals!

Remember the bond you wanted to rush?
The chasing that happens?
The nipping that happens? The bond you called failed?

This is why some bonds take longer than others, if you want a good outcome, you take it slower, you listen to the rabbits. You don't just give up on them because "it hasn't happened in a week".

This is why it's important to listen to us when we say don't rush it, and listen to the buns. Odin has now found his forever home and has companionship which EVERY rabbit deserves.
