Dates for Pets: Yes or No? 🤔

Dates may look like oversized raisins, but unlike raisins, they’re not toxic to dogs and cats. They also contain phytochemicals like polyphenols, phenolic acid, lignins, tannins and sterols that may support your pet’s health.

However, dates are high in sugar, with just one packing over 5 grams. They’re not the healthiest fruit for pets, so if you choose to share, keep portions tiny and occasional. 👍
