It is with a broken heart that we announce at 1225 today Lloyd crossed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. He has been loved an adored for the last year an 4 months. He took his last breath in the arms of his loving family with his best girl Prissy by his side. Fly high old man, you will never know how much you loved. We love and miss you.

Please say a pray for Lloyd he started having trimmers so we got him to Bear Creek and has an ulcer in both eyes! The trimmers where from the pain. So he is on some good pain meds and eye drops.

💙PUPDATE💙

Ok so just heard from Dr Yowell. They shaved pretty much his whole back end. They gave a nice warm medicated bath. He is HW negative and his white blood cell count, liver and kidney functions all look great. His digestive enzymes were off the chart and his thyroid levels were low. So she is leaning toward pancreatitis. He is severely dehydrated and underweight. She thinks he got down on that hip and couldn’t get up and no one helped him and he got basically a bed sore and the maggots moved in. They had not burrowed into the skin yet so that is good. They are starting IV fluids, he is getting several injections (b12, anti-nausea and antibiotics). So still not out of the woods but hopeful. Felix will need to be hospitalized over night so we are looking at $400-$500. If you would like you can also call Bear Creek at 704-986-0000 and tell them you would like to donate to Paws of Piedmont to help with Felix’s bill. Thank you for those have have already and in advance for those who do give!

Sweet Felix is at Bear Creek Animal Hospital as we speak. When his foster got him there he laid down and would not get up. They are doing everything they can for this sweet boy but we need help to pay the care he needs. No amount is too small $5 from 50 is $250! If you can’t donate then please share. If you find a stray pet in Stanly County (any domesticated animal that has an unknown owner), you are required to file a Found Animal Report with our shelter! 🐶 🐱 🐔 🐄 🐐 🐷 🐰 🐍 🦜 🐴 🐑

Found Animal Reports must be filed within 72 hours of the animal coming into your custody, but the 120 hour stray hold DOES NOT start until the FAR is submitted.

We highly recommend that any found animal comes through the shelter due to legal reasons, but rescues and citizens are allowed to complete the stray hold in their home if the appropriate steps are followed.

Thank you to our amazing community for being so committed to keeping the animals of Stanly County safe, and we want to do everything we can to ensure that the animals have the best outcome!

I’m back! I have been home a lot lately so I haven’t posted. It’s just been too cold for my old bones! But since it was warm so I went to see my MawMaw! Also tried to run away from home (will post the video in a minute) and then suckered mom into buying me a bag of treats cause I am so adorable.

UPDATE:Jim went to Bear Creek this morning(thank you Dr Jordan) and spent the day there! He got a medicated bath, some xrays and some LOVE! He will on medication for his skin, severe ear infection and hip pain.

Prissy and I both come into our new lives in bad shape. But we have decided when life gives us lemons we squeeze the s$&t out those suckers and sit back drink our lemonade and enjoy our current situation. We love each other, our new family, new lives, and feel safe and loved. We also adore all of you our FaceBook fam! Don’t ever give up cause you may just miss out on the best days of you life!
